The Dale City farmers market is open on Sunday and it is well worth the trip. There are two or three farmers that bring produce up from the Northern Neck. The quality of the produce is very high and much cheaper than anything around here. The ride down 95 on a sunday morning is a breeze.

There's one every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Sherwood Hall Library. It's the intersection of Sherwood Hall Lane and Parker's Lane, about a block from Mount Vernon Hospital. Address is 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane.
There's generally a good selection of vendors; not just fruits and vegetables but also meats, breads (including Great Harvest), flowers, and sometimes potted plants and garden plants. Everyone's really friendly.
Warning that by around 10:00 it gets really crowded (very popular with the older folks) and parking becomes an issue, especially considering the farmer's market itself takes up 1/3rd of the parking spaces.
Oh, and if your a Dem, you can say hello to your fellow partisans: they're there ever week; which shouldn't be a surprised since it's not like their going to work or anything productive.

Falls Church kicks the shit out of all the aforementioned ones. Excellent produce and other items. It's the only farmers' market worth the drive. It is on par with Eastern Market but not as far. There is also a decent place a block away that sells mostly local products at decent prices. Forget the name, but it has "local" in it.
Depends if you want produce or flea market stuff, but Alexandrias for produce is pretty good. I had a friend who used to drive up from Stafford to sell there, said it was costly.
