Tough Mudder is looking for venue suggestions in Northern Virginia. Two that immediately come to mind are Bull Run Regional Park and Great Meadows, but I don't know if either meets the 300 acre requirement. I doubt that there is going to be anything in Fairfax, but thoughts in Prince William or Loudoun?

There was a Tough Mudder in West Virgina back in April at the Peacemaker National Training Center. The course was tough, but I think that it was too hilly and they are looking for a venue with less severe elevation changes.

Pohick Bay park?

You've got hills, water, mud, road, camping, parking, etc. The hills around there are enough to be challenging (to say the least in some cases) but you can route as you want. Not sure that it meets the 300 acres either though unless maybe you include the golf course. Mason Neck park with lots of trails if you could get permission there (i'd guess likely not for something like that but don't know).

Quantico maybe if you can get permission.

You've got a whole lot of nerve, asking for help with a venue after a participant from this area died on the course in April. I would highly suggest that you take a very low profile before the family finally wakes up to what really happened there and gets a lawyer. A simple search on the internet will produce the story for anyone interested.

Just go run around Lake Accotink, taking the side trails up the hills. There is plenty of mud after a rain.

Anyone considering this course should ask around and do some reading. This was not an isolated event. Another experienced participant at a Tough Mudder event witnessed an injured participant who gave "the usual signal" for assistance, and finally, after five minutes had to limp in himself.
