"A race marshal for Sunday’s Crystal Cup bike race was hurt when one of the competitors slammed into her, knocking her to the ground.

The moments before and the immediate aftermath of the crash, which happened near the VRE station on Crystal Drive, were caught on video.

The collision sent the cyclist tumbling into the path of a race vehicle, the driver of which managed to stop in time and render aid. Arlington County sheriff’s deputies and police motorcycle officers also responded to the crash.

About 30 seconds after the initial crash, a group of racing cyclists approach the scene. Unable to get out of the way in time, one ran over the race official, who was still on the ground, and himself fell hard to the pavement."

First of all, what the fuck was the volt driver thinking by not only going on a closed road, but honking repeatedly for the cyclists to get out of the way?

Second of all, that second guy who ran over the original guy AGAIN..did he think he was going to be able to pass by doing that? He's inconsiderate if he thinks winning a race is more important than an unconscious person's safety. He was clearly visible on the ground.

Doesn't sound as if the car hit anyone and the car was driven by a race official/worker so it was supposed to be there. Perhaps it was honking to get help for the already fallen bicyclist.

Try watching the video. You can see the cyclist is falling the same direction the car is going .. to the left and away from the marshall. It's pretty obvious the car didn't collide with either of them.

Try watching the video. You can see that the woman on the ground is facing in the direction she is facing BECAUSE SHE WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY THE CAR, not from the front by a bicycle.

Second, it's clear that the cyclist is the SECOND person hit by the wrongway car, which swerved sharply to the left after hitting the race official.

It is clear that the car didn't hit the lady. But then again, 12 members of the jury said that OJ didn't kill Nicole.

The one thing I did notice is the total lack of conscience of the bikers. What a bunch of assholes.

What dumbass organizers had racers going in both directions???? The course had to be closed off to the public for something like that, looked like the volt was just warning that the next group was coming the other way.
