Birds chirping at night

I am up late most nights with the baby, and I hear constant bird noises outside. I don't know anything about birds so was wondering what kind in this area stay up all night - obviously not owls etc. Also I am very bored/tired/sober.

If it's a single bird (usually anyway, sometimes you can hear others in the distance) which makes a variety of different calls over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over... UNTIL YOU WANT TO GO OUT AND SHOOT THE DAMN THING... then it's likely a male mocking bird.

Yes, it is annoying as hell at times.

abelard - a few months but I do shift work and stay up late so no big deal.

Tweety - Didn't know Mocking birds stay up so late! In my previous life as a bar patron I would hear them on my walk home but didn't care then... I don't really care now, just wondering.

Don't be sober maybe? Drinking just to get over birds seems a bit drastic, but hey, you won't care about the birds. So there's that.
