The Chantilly Gun Show is the biggest ripoff. Also with the new group running the show they are requiring everybody to show identification and recording everybody.
It's just big front for the ATF, FBI and IRS to nab people. The take everybody over to the big blue building across the street for processing.
They also have undercover local cops looking at state tags and recording license plates on cars.

They sell guns now that gathered dust in the past. Now they move right off the table. The old standbys of Glocks and H&K go for three times the normal price. Ammo, forget about it, none to be found. Even .22 is sold out. Obama and liberals must be proud of their work, now there are hundreds of thousands of more guns being bought than ever before.
I wouldnt be surprised if the gun industry starts supporting democrats for the increased sales.

The Chantilly gun show is a joke: everything is horribly overpriced, if you can find it. Save yourself the time and money and order online. Wait for these idiot panic buyers and hoarders to burn themselves out. I got a big laugh when I heard a radio advertisement for the show mentioning "discount gunshow prices."

I stopped going to the Dulles Expo show because there are very few actual gun dealers exhibiting there. Most of the displays are for gun gear, books, and junk like knives and silencers. The prices for the few firearms on display are ridiculous which probably doesn't matter because the dealers don't accept food stamps anyway. It amazes me how effective the NRA is in leading all those $35k per year ragamuffins around by the nose. I doubt if most of those guys could afford more than a $70 Lorcin much less an assault rifle.

I keep a couple guns in the house, properly secured of course. I dont get these guys that go to these gun shows year after year to jerk themselves off with a bunch of cowardly, crazed gun freaks. The vast majority of these freaks are middle to upper middle class overweight white guys. The guns I purchased 18 years ago are still in good working order. Being a gun owner is one thing but being a gun show guy is just sad and gay.

I got pulled over by a Maryland state cop who had an ATF agent riding with him after I had purchased fireworks at a Pennsylvania fireworks place and was heading back to Virginia. I'd hold off. Now that we won in the Senate and quashed the liberals gun grabbing legislation, prices will come down and ammo, guns and magazines will be more readily available. It will likely take a couple of months for things to get back in balance. Hope DHS quits their stockpiling.

These gun enthusiasts will teach you a great deal about firearms beginning with safety,safety,safety! Any time you are in a position to buy amunition of any caliber, buy it. Give it to your firearms mentors. If they can't use it, they probably know someone who can. If not it is still a great bargaining tool in the case of societal colapse or martial law.
I have become reasonably proficient with several types of hanguns and suck with long range shots useing a 30-30.
I have way above average stealth skills and have incredible skills with knives and hand to hand combat. Daily training is what it is all about even if for only 15 minutes when your schedule is just too busy.
My allies and I have taken oathes to each other and will fight to the death for eachother and eachother's loved ones.
Some of you will hurl all kinds of insults at me, but I don't mind, I feel secure.

I have friends who reload. It's a lot of up front cost but then it's quite economical. However, with the current frenzy, I'm sure even the cost of that stuff has gone up too.

Not many gun buyers...or many buyers at all in my opinion. Seems people were mostly there for ammo. Though it was in short supply...you could find it if you stayed away from the major ammo dealers. Bought .380 case and 30-30 case and paid just slightly more than usual prices...and all american made. Not the stuff I usually like to shoot...but good enough for the range and keeping proficient. .22LR was ridiculous...$115 for a brink that's normally $15? PLEASE! Right now I see that ammo situation as the one needing the biggest fix. Gun prices seemed a little inflated...but not too much. Don't think people were buying guns because of the ammo issue. But next show likely to pick up my next addition to my gun cabinet if prices are the same as this show.

I was also there on Friday looking for .45 Auto and the going price was hovering around $.90 per cartridge ... even at bulk case pricing of 500 per case. Expensive!
I remember a year ago where there was no frenzy that I could get it for under $0.38 each at bulk pricing.
Waiting until much later this year to get my fix...

Shot Show is held in Las Vegas and has been for the past few years. It was in Florida before that. When was it ever held in Denver?
Shot Show is also an "industry show". Its not open to the general public. Its open to gun makers and dealers of firearms or firearm related items. Military and Police can not even get in unless they hold positions responsible for buying stuff for their departments or services. You also can not buy guns there and carry them out the door. The gun makers show off their products to the dealers attending so they know what they want to order to sell at their shops.

Shot Show is also an "industry show". Its not open to the general public. Its open to gun makers and dealers of firearms or firearm related items. Military and Police can not even get in unless they hold positions responsible for buying stuff for their departments or services. You also can not buy guns there and carry them out the door. The gun makers show off their products to the dealers attending so they know what they want to order to sell at their shops.
