CENTREVILLE, Va. -- Several people were injured in a fight Sunday involving a BB gun and a machete after a car was vandalized in Centreville.

Fairfax County police responded at 2:15 a.m. to the area of Federation Way and Singleton's Way, where they found four or five men accused of vandalizing a car in the 13000 block of Winding Ridge Lane.

Investigators said several people came out of a house to scare the alleged vandals away, and a fight ensued.


A 39-year-old woman and 34-year-old man were struck with BBs fired from a BB gun, and the woman also was struck with a machete. Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Several others received minor injuries in the altercation.

Luis Jonathan Merino, 21, and Josue Ernersto Palacios, 23, were taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with malicious wounding by mob and gang participation.

Two male juveniles, both 17, were returned home. Additional charges are pending.

If someone breaks into your home, you have to shoot them square in the forehead and kill them, otherwise they will get a lawyer and sue you, then be right back doing the same shit.
Look at the Sean Taylor murder for example. Those guys should never have left his place alive. Now the trial has been postponed till next year and eventually they'll be right back out there, especially after spending time honing their skills with other low lifes in prison.

I would hate to ever have to kill another person, but I won't hesitate for one second if someone breaks into my house and threatens me or my family.

You need to go for center of mass - much greater certainty of hit, and the pump lies there. Triple tap because 'you were in fear for your life", and the punk is in a better place answering for his crimes.

Although I'll agree that the 12 gauge is a viable solution for home defense, I see no reason to risk scattershot damaging my interior decor.

Believe me, I have no doubt of hitting my target (the punks forehead) with my .45 ACP at short range. It has a nice low velocity and a big chunk of lead that is sure to make a mess, but brains and scull are easy clean up (so I'm told, lol).
