Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
I give this place 1 year tops, to pay $7.50 for a burger that won't fill you up, and fries that are thin and puny, you have got to be the biggest idiot ever.
I went with my gf the other day. 2 small burgers, 1 shoe string fries, 1 drink: $15.00 . Um ya, I'm not one that would goto McDonalds for a burger, but I sure as hell would not come to this rip off joint.
if you are going to pay $15 for burgers and fries, might as well goto Five Guys and get yours moneys worth.
Went there last week and thought it was ok. Expensive, yes, certainly for what you are getting. If you are average male you will want to get a double burger since the patties are so small. Onions rings were good, fries are like the potato straws you get out of a can. The fries are not bad, just different. I did not get any of the custard, but did get a tasting spoon of chocolate. That was very good, but I have no reason to go back.

I have been there three times and think it is GREAT!!! The burgers and fries are 10 times better than the fat-burgers and greasy fries from FiveGuys. You don't get bloated and the combo meal is only a dollar more than McDonalds.
Freddy's is fantastic. Been there a few times since it opened and it's been great every time. Burgers that are perfectly cooked and not greasy, fries that are crisp and hot and the custard is a lot like the old Frozen Dairy Bar from years ago. Will definitely be giving Freddy's my business over the other places.

Funny shit. Went today for the first time. If you're an average guy that likes food forget about it. Tiny ass fries, can't grab a handful unless you have little kids hands. Burger was thinner than McDonald's, like eating a thin burger pancake. Hot dog was ok. Pictures and descriptions of Freddy all over are a bit weird. I may try again one day before they close and move out of town.
Bring back the KFC buffet!
Actually I appreciate the earlier advice from people here, tried it, and think its a better concept then five guys, elevation burger, smash burger, etc. Their ice cream is off the hook, and their prices, you are getting quality for not much more than the fast food spots.

Have you ever heard of "portion control". Americans eat too much. A single serving of meat is actually 4 ounces. A Freddy Burger is more than enough for most people. You are not supposee to stuff yourself when you eat.

That is fine, but if you want a quality burger and want to do something else with your time besides prepare and cook your own burger, then Freddie's is a good option. To me, food is fuel and that is all. I am not into long prepared meals.
What the fuck? Freddy's? Tasty? Really? I made the mistake once; dry, salty "food". Burgers were paper thin and burnt.
To the "average guy" who got the burger AND hotdog meal; fuck you. You're a disgusting fat ass.
To the other below average guy that compared Freddy's to fast food "restaurants" as if a joint that replaced KFC, delivers shitty "food" within minutes and is run by a bunch of gooks isn't fast food itself. Yes. Because they serve "custard" its a classy joint.
I eat fast food maybe a handful of times a year (yay me!). That's per year. Not per week. Each time I do it just reminds me why I don't bother. All you're doing is paying someone to deliver an inferior product that shortens your life. It has no nutritional value whatsoever. Those who spend their days doing nothing more than mashing keys and game controller buttons might not know anything about that, but those of us who actually ask something of our bodies might need some vitamins and nutrients occasionally.
Different strokes (literally) for different folks, but if you think this shit is tasty you really need to get out and experience life some more. Hey! Maybe you could even learn to cook and do something yourself!
didn't like it the first time I went there, but now I do. Their crispy shoestring fries are money. burgers are a bit flat (because they are steak burgers) but if you get a double w/ cheese, you are good to go.
chili cheese fries and onion rings are good. I haven't tried the hot dogs yet, but that'll be next.
Freddy's is a rip off. Reminds me of the burger joint with holes in the burgers in Born on the Fourth of July. $3.25 for a paper thin burger. Three of them wouldn't equal one McDonald's cheeseburger.

Get the fuck out of here. I like a meal when I eat not a tease.

Fuck you. You think your imagined healthy eating is doing you any good? You couldn't keep up with me if your life depended on it! hahaha

This is true.
They also do not explain the topping ypu can put on your burger and there is zero variety with the menu. It is either a regualr steak burger, a steakburger with bacon, steak burger with a hot dog or a steak burger on toast. Super jew on the fries and they tend to be all in little pieces. The meat is also too dry. Price wise I think they are not expensive but I would rather go to smash burger and spend more for better meat. Also, the buns are so f-ing small it is unreal.
We went today. The burger was very flat and not much flavor. Didn't care much for the skinny fries. I did love the rich creamy fudge custard with Oreo cookies. YUM! We were actually going to get some custard at Nielson's in Vienna but it was closed. Anyone had their custard?
Out of Freddies, smash burger and elevation burger I choose the latter.
For anyone who has lived here since the 80's the Freddys looks a lot like a "Friendly's", another ice cream and deep fried food joint, that has been dying a slow death since the late 90's.
i don't see it lasting longer then 18months. A place like does well in Western PA but not around here.
This place sounds identical to Steak and Shake, which is amazing if you have never been there. I don't even want to try freddys, i just want to find a steak and shake now. I know there's one down here somewhere.
