Mash it all together into the locks when its a little dirty. Wash it like normal but just throw away the comb and brush. Had a housemate do it, takes a few weeks with long hair.

It's really stupid as all fuck though.

By the way, you dont "dread" hair. It happens naturally by never combing or brushing.
