That's because churches are the only ones with any money any more. Their sheeple hand over their money to the church no matter how bad the economy is.

Just what that stretch of road needs..... ANOTHER church!

Banks and churches are wielding the money these days - no surprise it will be a church.

Worst part is that real estate taxes will no longer be paid on the property--that SUCKS.

I doubt filmdex was paying much property taxes. all they had to do was call themselves a non-profit.

a church doesn't surprise me.

won't make much of a difference...

-an empty building
-not being taken care of like it should.
-creepy at night
-people being molested (if its catholic)
-FFU will be posting about it every few weeks.

I actually spent the night there in 1979 when it was still a motel. It was a dump but my car died on 29 on a cold winter night and I was thankful to find a warm motel room.

That's all Centreville needs is another damn church right there. Hope it's not another Korean Church. The one on the otherside, just don't get why they are there every day of the week 5am and on. What's up with that.

Really do hope the OP is incorrect about another church.

At least they're not putting another damn strip mall or crappy apartments. The last thing we need in this area is more people and traffic. It's just a church. Relax.

Some of us might say "ANOTHER tax-exempt use of valuable land when it could be a tax revenue source!?"
