Gun Show - December 28-30, 2012

Gun show this weekend.

Predictions? How bad is it going to be? I get the impression there will be a crowd before the doors open Friday afternoon.

Oh, it's going to be bad. I predict multiple mass murders by the end of the day.

Not necessarily. We'll just blow away the guys ahead of us to get to the front.

Guess what? Gun-crazed Virginians who carry guns to malls, churches, and restaurants can't carry them at the gun show. The gun show organizers don't permit loaded weapons for "public safety and insurance" reasons. They just arm the crazies and let them wander around the rest of the state with their loaded guns.

And malls, churches, and restaurants are free to ban firearms on their premises. I don't see the problem. Every gunstore I've ever been in has the same rule.

So the gun show organizers and gun dealers don't want people with loaded weapons in their stores because they know it's too dangerous, but they have no problem arming these fools nad letting them walk around the state at large.

No Second Amendment rights in gun stores or at gun shows!

Good thing, too. Gun shows are dangerous places. Even with weapons bans, the crazies still manage to injure and kill each other by discharging their weapons.
Don't believe me? Google "gun show discharge" and see just how many times these "pros" accidentally shoot off their weapons.

No. Willful blindness to the truth is cool, too. I wouldn't expect much critical thinking out of the crazies anyway.

Exactly. Insurers know how frequently these "pros" at gun show accidentally shoot their weapons and won't insure Dulles or any gun show unless it bans loaded weapons. And yet, despite the bans, the discharges continue.

I went hunting with a so called " gun expert", The mother fucker lit up a .308 inside our truck because he thought the safety was on and decided to pull the trigger.
. The "gun expert" Blew a hole in the floor of the truck and made me fucking deaf for three days.

Sounds like the idiot "expert" didn't follow the basic rule of "treat every weapon as if it were loaded and to keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire.

FYI, the rule has nothing to do with the specific show, its a venue rule from Dulles Expo for insurance reasons. Just like car show rules at that venue require less than 1/4 tank of gas per the fire marshall, which is not a car show rule. Point is, in order to "lease" that venue, they must follow their rules since its a private facility.

Parking is free. That the guns are overpriced is the same as gas. Its overpriced but if you want it you pay the asking price.

I'll save y'all the trouble of reading it. The thesis is guns are the only things that keep us safe. Schools need to be full of gun-toting "pros" to keep them safe. All that is needed is more training and more guns....

Where do they come up with ridiculous crap like this?

Oh wait.........

April 16, 2000 LAWRENCE L. KNUTSON ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON — Marking the first anniversary of the shooting deaths at Columbine High School, President Clinton announced $120 million in new federal grants Saturday to place more police officers in schools and help even the youngest kids cope with their problems.

...

Clinton also unveiled the $60-million fifth round of funding for "COPS in School," a Justice Department program that helps pay the costs of placing police officers in schools to help make them safer for students and teachers. The money will be used to provide 452 officers in schools in more than 220 communities.

Already, it has placed 2,200 officers in more than 1,000 communities across our nation, where they are heightening school safety as well as coaching sports and acting as mentors and mediators for kids in need," Clinton said.

Screw the deals on guns and ammo. This show will be all about the circus coming to town for three days. It'll be a redneck, survivalist, gun-nut, gun-hater, liberal vs conservative, nutjob palooza!!! Buy your guns! Sell your guns! Stock up on ammo, magazines and MRE's! The end is near!!! Get your cameras and bring a lawn chair for the three day extravaganza of dumbassery...and that'll just be in the parking lot (next to Wal-Mart no less)!! After you're done go to HOOTERS for boobies, wings and beer. Better yet, get drunk THEN go to the show! See YOU there!!!

I think the idiot was trying to remove, using a knife, the plastic tie holding back the trigger of the gun he just purchased. He accidentally shot a waitress in the ankle.

The only dumbasses there were the ones who bought a gun. My son, a gun enthusiast (and there's nothing wrong with that), noticed that some vendor was selling a Rock River Arms AR-15, the exact same one my son bought for $1000 a few weeks ago online, for $2600.

Rock River suck. It was my first AR and not mil-spec. Got rid of it and bought a Colt for the same price.

Colts aren't the same price anymore, and mil-spec means exactly squat when all you are using it for is occasional target practice.

You could join the armed forces and receive a weapon and salary.
Serve your country and prove your manhood.

Just bought a gun at the gun show 200 yards away and brought the loaded weapon into Hooters...real bright. Our Second Amendment at work...protecting dumbasses from girls in tight shirts and shorts while endangering the rest of us. Gotta love it.

I'll say what:

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. But not in the eyes of a drunken buffon
who brings a gun into the restaurant. If only he had shot his balls off. But he didn't have any so he buys a gun to prove he's macho. Why else would this gun nut bring a weapon into a populated area and load a weapon? Probably racked the slide movie style too.

Not defending the jackoff that discharged a weapon in Hooters. Just saying that working there doesn't automatically make you attractive.

Not true, the DEA has a massive contract with them after grueling testing of all major brands. Have had zero issues with mine. That being said head to head with a Colt or Armalite I would chose those over a RR.

Just another pissing contest? No guns?
What's to become of this nation when young boys only know how to piss their lives away.
