Don't know about their duck, but they have good locally raised beef and chicken.

They are also locally owned. Give them a call, I'm sure they will do whatever they can to get you a duck.

You can find frozen duck at Shoppers....but why are you having duck on Thanksgiving? Don't get me wrong, I like duck. But Thanksgiving? Only one bird will do - Turkey.

Duck is a very popular alternative to turkey on Thanksgiving. Many people cook alternative birds for Thanksgiving dinner such as capon, goose, and pheasant. Don't forget, the turducken is a very popular Thanksgiving meal.

Also, just because you have an alternate bird does not preclude having a turkey as well.

House rules vary. You don't make them all. Probably not even the ones at your house. So why not screw up the old courage, venture forth, and step up to a more juicy and flavorful bird? It's not like the Pilgrims carved up a Butterball, you know. Capon, duck, goose, cornish hen, guinea hen, pheasant, squab, partridge...all yummy, yummy, yummy. But some folks will just never know.

I grew up in Europe. Where they sell fowl not cut up in plastic-wrapped packages, but hanging whole from a rack. Feet...head... you get it all. Here's some advice for "predators": you cannot eat feathers. It's impossible. You have to pluck a bird and it's neither fun nor easy. Now go back to contemplating your manliness.
