Police: Man Dead After 'Road Rage' Incident
Prince William County Police said that as of publication time no charges have been filed in the incident.

A 47-year-old pedestrian died after being sent to the hospital following what Prince William County Police call a "road rage" incident.

Prince William County Police said Saturday they responded at 4:32 p.m. on Friday to Prince William Parkway and Yates Ford Road in Manassas (20111) for a crash involving a pedestrian.

"The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2012 Ford F-350 and the driver of a 2000 Dodge Dakota were both traveling westbound on Yates Ford Rd in Fairfax County when the driver of the Dodge pickup began to tailgate the other driver," said Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok in a news release.

Police said "as both drivers entered Prince William County, both stopped at the traffic light at the Prince William Parkway and Yates Ford Road, pulling next to one another."

Perok said in a release "the driver of the Dodge pickup exited his vehicle and approached the other vehicle. The driver began to climb through a half opened passenger window in an attempt to engage in a physical fight with that driver."

According to police reports, "the driver of the Ford pickup began to move his vehicle forward, at which point, the other driver fell and was run over by the truck."

"That driver [pedestrian] was ground transported to an area hospital where he died. This crash stemmed from a road rage incident and is considered a pedestrian involved crash since no contact was made between the vehicles," said a news release. "At this point, no charges have been filed. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this crash. The investigation continues."

Police have identified the driver of the 2012 Ford F-350 as 38 year-old man of Manassas and the pedestrian as Brian David Samf, of no fixed address.

passed that incident on the way home. thats what happens when you are stupid, ignorant, and you let your anger get the better of you. i have no sympathy for him. stay the hell in you car, dont tailgate and go home alive. even if the other driver was at fault for whatever happened, then call the police and take a plate number. when you decide to get out of your car to confront someone, be prepared for whatever happens to you.

If I were to get into an altercation every time some idiot driver did something stupid, it would take me several hours just to drive the 2 miles to my office. Certain people are incapable of taking minor injustices in stride. So someone cuts you off. Honk your horn, flick him the bird, call him an ass, and move along.

I'm guessing the 'victim' had a lot of turmoil in his life. Probably had a boss, a wife and neighbors who made him feel inadequate. Then along comes this guy who cut him off and it was more than he could handle. So he began tailgating the guy, then got out and jumped through the guy's window. As any reasonable person would do, the other driver just wanted to get the fuck away from the unstable individual climbing through his window, so he slammed down on the gas, and hothead fell to the ground. Not sure how he managed to run him over, but that was an awesome maneuver.

Loser dead, problem solved. Now he no longer has to suffer the indignities of being a loser.

I bet he proved his point, though, didn't he?

I need to show this to GF. She gets in pissing contests with slow drivers and tailgates. I told her to forget it because even though you may get around them eventually you just come up to another light. No real time is saved in this area by gaining one to five car lengths. If someone is on my ass I just pull over to another lane when I can and let them by. Most times I just meet up with them at the next light anyway so they gained nothing.

If I get out and confront them what is the best thing that will happen? Maybe a fight that I might or might not win, who needs that? Maybe criminal charges on me or the other guy and lengthy time spent in court while spectators comment on what a couple of assholes we are.

She said his bladder was totally crushed. Once he was pronounced dead she said nobody came in to claim him. He was sent to the morgue without any family, friends, or relatives coming to claim him.

The reason he was run over was the 2012 F350 was a dually - if it had been a normal truck he probably wouldn't have been killed. Not suprised he had severe internal injuries given how heavy those trucks are..
