I voted Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever
I want. I've decided to marry my boat.

I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a
gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at
15% isn't.

I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job
of spending the money I earn than I ever would.

I voted Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is
offended by it.

I voted Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad
guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I
know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and
thieves.

I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it
will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in
ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of
millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed
to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest
away to the government for redistribution as IT sees fit.

I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite The
Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would
never get their agendas past the voters.

I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my arse that it
is unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

So true. Representing someone else's work as your own is plagiarism. Plagiarism is the theft of intellectual property. Republicans excel at theft, and are very poor at humor.

Whether you vote Republican or Democrat, it doesn't matter, both parties are financed by the same 1%. How disappointed are many Dems with Obama? Many are ready to rebel, but don't want to vote for Romney. Romney is a well meaning guy but doesn't have a clue about what's happening to the middle class worker.

Things will only change when you look to third party candidates. Conservative leaning voters should consider Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and liberal leaning voters Green Party candidate Jill Stein. They have been locked out of the debates by the Republicans and Democrats who have been organizing the debates since the League of Women Voters refused in 1988 to be a part of perpetrating a fraud on the American voters.

It is no coincidence that major opinion polls do not include either third party candidate, even though the candidates are on the ballot in a sufficient number of states to theoretically win enough electoral vote to be elected and have qualified for federal matching funds. One of the requirements for participating in the debates is garnering a 15% rating in major voter opinion polls. If the media don't cover your campaign and the pollsters don't include you in their surveys, how is that even possible to get 1%? Yet, when Gary Johnson was included in one poll in Ohio, 10% said they would vote for him. He took most of the points from Romney. I would venture to say that if Jill Stein were included, she could very well have taken 10% or more from Obama. With some media coverage maybe both Jill and Gary could get the 15% they need to participate in the debates. But that won't happen.

Another fact is that Jill Stein debated Romney when she ran against him for Governor of Massachusetts. The Boston Globe said Jill was the only adult in the room and in effect the winner of the debate. Would she have won again if she participated in the first presidential debate? Would both she and Gary Johnson have shown up the two major party candidates? Unfortunately we will never know.

It's up to you, the voter to change the system. But if you keep voting blue or red, nothing will change, because the candidates will know that no matter what they do, they can depend on your vote. Then there is no accountability. So, if you are dissatisfied with the political status quo, take a serious look at the third party candidates and vote for change. Tell the Democrats and the Republicans you have had enough.
