If Obams loses
Posted by: Worried in Virginia ()

I have a friend in the National Guard and he told me that they have been briefed on a national contingency plan that would go into effect if Obama loses.

Its based on moving troops into cities because the government expects blacks to riot in the event of a Romney victory.

I own a business that is fairly close to a black area and am worried.

Did your friend here this from Glenn Beck, or is he just a moron?

You're a fool for buying/starting a business near a Black area. You're lucky to still be alive.

It's a payday loan/check cashing/Western Union center, isn't it?

The National Guard (and the rest of the Army) always has contingency plans for all sorts of events. Riots are one of them.

I don't think riots are expected, but it would be foolish not to be prepared. Hopefully, when Obama loses, common sense will prevail.

First, we have to hope that common sense prevails and that Chairman Obama, Worst Prez in History, is defeated.

Yeah. They also plan on rounding up white people to punish them for voting for Mitt Romney! They already have 'coffins' stockpiled!

Yeah. I guess that one gets pounded to death on Fox News.

or Bill O'Reilly or some other asshat like yourself? and BTW last two polls had Obama up by 3% in Virginia, there really aren't THAT many morons to vote against their own best interests in Virginia, If you elect Romney expect to lost your job (again like Bush) your 401K will lose all value (like Bush) and you can go to war (send your own dumbass kids and while you are at it, how many Romneys have fought in a war or was Mittens in France for the whole thing???) prepare to be a serf if you vote for Romney, another point, just to let you know, you aren't part of the 1% in your crappy subdivision style home in Crosspointe, where you look just like the other moron next door

Comon UE, Mitt was fighting in the same war that Obama was fighting in. And be prepared to put whatever you gain back into your 401k into your gas tank and taxes, so I guess it evens out doesn't it. Food for thought, don't live beyond your means, invest wisely (rims for your car and a 70" tv are not investments), and make sure you actually sit down with your kids and help them with their education (not rely on leapfrog or Google) will work wonders for our country. I just thank god I don't live in Maryland because if #7 passes, expect southern MD to turn into AC but worse.

Not yet, but you probably want to stock up on ammo to fend off the lunatic Obama supporters after he is overthrown. If they can't legally take all your stuff through Obama's wealth-redistribution plan, they're likely to just come and try to steal it.

To add to that, my 22 year old diabetic son will be kicked off my health insurance AGAIN and have to figure out how to afford his insulin, testing supplies, and $500 endo visits on a waiter's pay. We were hoping to put that day off for four more years.

Your loser of a 22 year old son needs to get out of your house, get a real job and pay for his own damn insurance. Stop ruining his life. He can't be your little fairy boy forever. It's time for him to be a man and take care of himself. 22 is a little old to be on mommy's insurance. Do yourself and him a favor and cut the umbilical cord. You're the one making yourself a victim. Did you really hope to keep your son on your insurance until he was 26? Do you realize you're severely stunting his social development with your victimizing? Also, can you please explain to me why my tax dollars and insurance premiums should go towards paying for your stupid son's expensive diabetus treatments because he is somehow incapable of getting his own insurance? I've been living on my own and working my ass off to be who I am today since I was 18, and when I was your son's age, I was already earning more than my father ever did. And don't try to tell me your son can't get insurance through his employer because he's part time, because I'm not going to have any pity.

Not to mention that an increasing number of retail employers provide insurance to even part-time employees. Jimmy John's, Apple, Starbucks, and others provide decent insurance benefits for working as little as 20 hours a week.

If your son is that financially insolvent and has an actual medical condition like diabetes, he should be eligible for state and/or federal medical assistance. It's up to him to figure that out, though. He's an adult, after all.

I would have figured that mommy would already know this, and it stems back to my point that if you had educated him earlier in life, he (and you) might know these facts and truths. If he were in college I would understand you reasoning to have him on your insurance as I was still on my parents till 22, but I was earning a degree during that time so I did not have to rely on them while earning mediocre salary. This is the apathy that I am sick of in this country, your son chooses not to achieve in life, because he obviously is not in school, so we the people who have earned and achieved in life have to bail you out. You milk this country for everything it is worth instead of add to it. I mean I understand that the world needs ditch diggers too, but if that is your chosen profession then you need to act accordingly to it and not whine when benefits don't come your way. You earn a degree, that leads to more benefits and better pay. Math 101 people. Democrats find it so easy to play the blame game.

And exactly which war was that? The war in Vietnam ended in 1975. Obama was 14, Romney was 28. He had plenty of time to "represent his country" in that conflict.

Plenty of people who are in Congress didn't serve in a war. Many of our presidents didn't either. You think Saxby Chambliss (Senator from Georgia-R) should be respected because he defeated Max Cleland? Cleland is a triple amputee who won the Silver Star. Saxby Chambliss wasn't even close to Vietnam.

I'll bet you don't work with brittle Type-1 diabetics (from birth) like my son. They have a very difficult time keeping a job due to frequent illnesses. Were it not for recent advances in diabetes treatment he would probably already be dead or close to it. When he was born, doctors told me he would never see age 30.

Right now, my son is no burden to any of you. He is insured under my health insurance which is a huge group for whom my employer pays tens of millions of dollars per year in premiums. He does cost the insurer a miniscule bit of their annual profits, but that's the game they're in. They win a LOT more than they lose.

The topic of this thread is if Obama loses. If Obama loses, the first thing the insurance companies (who own the Republican party, lock, stock, and barrell) will do is drop my son from my policy. THAT is when his care will start costing YOU (and me), the taxpayer.

Save yourselves the trouble of typing a bunch of Rush Limbaugh bullshit, I'm out of here.

Don't give up just yet, moms. To abolish Obamacare, the Republicans have to also take the Senate.

Even then, you have to consider that Romney is a centrist that engineered Romneycare in Massachusetts. He has to appease the wingnuts by railing against Obamacare, but he may not really try to do away with it if he's elected.

Finally, despite what the screamers would have you believe, after years of health insurance company abuses, some elements of Obamacare are quite popular. Even if the Republicans gain the power to trash it, they may not have the political stomach to do so. After all, they would absolutely love to scrap SS/Medicare and every other social program there is. But they know they would never win another goddamned election in this country if they did.

Keep the faith and best wishes to you and your son!

The United States will be better off. I personally don't give a shit what color someone is or religion, or any of those "boxes", to be President of this country. The fact is President Obama has failed all American people, and if people are stupid enough to riot or "act a fool" for a better term when he loses, then I hope the police and/or national guard will respond as needed.

Let's hope folks behave, and act like adults. And if Obama somehow wins, which I find highly unlikely, I'm not going to burn and loot the streets. Instead, I'll just focus on normal shit, like keeping a job, paying bills, and dealing with life that goes on.

The Vietnam War had a draft - INvoluntary service. Romney is purported to have dodged that by being a missionary in France. There is a stigma attached to that.

Anything since then has been strictly voluntary - there is no stigma attached to not volunteering for the military.

===

Frankly, I couldn't care less that Romney may be a draft dodger from the Vietnam War - that war was a disaster from A to Z with NO latter-day revelations of behind-the-scenes activity we weren't privy to making it appear any better!

I think it is MUCH more significant that Romney was a REAL fist-to-the-head bully when even younger - THAT is a personality trait that one does not grow out of.

This is the first I've heard anyone suggest that Romney avoided the draft by being a missionary. However, I would point out that there are Churches that have programs for "alternative service". One I know of is the Church of the Brethren. They have a program where young men and women volunteer to serve in many different roles as an alternative to military service (it's sort of like Peace Corp or VISTA), it's called Brethren Voluntary Service. I knew a number of people that did that and I think it's a perfect acceptable alternative. By the way, I'm a Viet Nam vet. I'm old enough to have been around during the draft, once I got out of college I went and joined the Army and paid my dues.

I paid my dues, too, though I was never in the military - one doesn't need to serve in the military to "pay one's dues" - that is, IM-no-so-HO, one of the Great Lies that deserve to quietly go away.

Having noted that...

I was eligible to be drafted during the earliest 70s; they had removed the college deferment and went to a lottery system - the first lottery I was very unlikely to be drafted, the 2nd lottery I was somewhat likely to be drafted - they got rid of the draft before then. Had I been drafted I'd probably have enlisted in the Air Force rather than gamble on some other service taking me.

Though I was against the way the war was being fought I actually wasn't against the overt thinking behind the need for that war; I did agree with the idea to abandon it, however.

Romney had a College deferment and after graduation a high lottery number. He was pro war and protested against the anti war protesters. His father saw the futility of Vietnam and later was against more involvement.
I was drafted, did a tour of duty in SE Asia, came back in rare form. I will vote for anyone who opposes war. Deciding the fate of Human life is slightly more important than Big Bird. President Obama has made mistakes but we are not in World War III.

. . . YET.

Though, it probably doesn't matter which puppet is in office. When we need a war, we get a war.

Yeah, as a guy who's fully prepared for all contingencies short of a nuclear war, of which I'd trust Romney/Ryan a helluva lot more than dimwit and even more bi polar Biden, the Russian and Middle Eastern conflict has a lot of hallmarks of Pre WWII appeasement with Neville Chamberlin like characteristics from POTUS.

...why stop short of a nuclear war? It is not inconceivable.

Let it be known that I am prepared. For everything.

Very good. One should be prepared for all contingencies.

Ohh...stay up all night thinking of that retort.."dumbass!!!". Aside from the fact that you didn't see anyone in the Gulf War, Mr. Obama has never made a pretence over his military service, or the lack thereof. While I was too young for the Vietnam draft, my two other brothers wheren't. One drew two incredibly high lottery numbers, one didn't and went.

I've never served myself, but I am from and married into a military family. One thing that soldiers who have actually been in combat and faced death never say is "I wanted to represent my country". They say stuff like "I killed those dumb bastards because they were trying to kill me". Mr. Romney wants to bask in that reflected honor, whereas in fact, his candy-ass was in France trying to convert Catholics to his weird religion, soaking up rays, and eating cheese. My oldest brother, two years younger than Mr. Magic UnderPants who wanted to serve but had to do missionary work in Europe, was shot in the left knee. On a good day, even now, he walks without much pain.

Knight checkmate.

Before people started hijacking the thread this was about the possibility of blacks rioting if Obama loses.

The blacks nor anyone else probably will not riot but after the 2000 election I might question the outcome if certain staes are involved.
Nothing wrong with a little protestng. It's good for the soul.

If you actually look at my response time, it was quite efficient and quick, while yours on the other hand took two days to conjure up. Your argument is flawed because you rag on one candidate for not providing military service when your candidate hasn't provided service to our country either, but yet you feel the need to call one side out because of your voting policies. Just as much as you rag on Romney for his religious beliefs (which I do not agree with), I thought your party was accepting of all religions and secular paths? Oh that's right, only when they are democrats. You are a facist and hypocrite "my friend." Sorry I just had to quote Biden there. And if we are going to pull family into this, both grandparents fought in WW2, father and uncle in Vietnam (father earned a bronze star and purple heart at Dien Bien Phu), and I was proud to serve 2 tours in Afghanistan even though I hated being there every second. The funny thing is I didn't need to mention that or bring up the fact that I voted for Obama last election and also vote democratic for our state representatives every year because I now teach in FCPS and value what democrats do for our education. I just had to call you out because you are the reason we have problems in America because you don't look at both sides with unbiased opinions.

ps - you're a terrible chess player ;)

As the County staggers under impact of third worlders, many illegal aliens, bear in
mind that you can use force to protect property and person.

Wrong if you are in imminent danger you can use deadly force. Someone forcing
entry into home or vehicle. If you were defending your property when set upon
with persons threatening to do harm you can use deadly force. If you see some
breaking into your car outside you cannot use force. Plenty of case law.

As harsh as it seems everyone who is enrolled in a health care plan and has severe needs is not paying the true cost of their care. Unless the premiums on your part cover the full cost which I doubt. Otherwise the plan could not stay afloat. Other members not seeking anything beyond a normal checkup and your employer are paying the extra costs.

As far as them making a profit, yes thats what they do. As does any private for profit business. I dread the day the government fully takes over health care as Obama wants. I have seen first hand how corrupt, incompetent and useless federal workers are, I do not want them anywhere near my health care plan.

I know I can hear it now, how cold and brutal but sometimes the truth is just that.

People didn't hijack the thread. They just are not into Alex Jones and his conspiracy theories.

I listen to his radio show for laughs.

The best one was when he had his sound guy "call in" posing as a police officer in St. Louis who was told that they had to prepare for military assistance and air support to suppress the massive insurrection after the elections.

Still not sure if the revolution was going to be because Obama won, Romney won, or if the New World Order(tm) was going to orchestrate it no matter who wins.

I don't think you understand what insurance is. Of course some insureds do not pay the full cost of their care. If they did, there would be no purpose for insurance.

Fundamentally, the concept of insurance is to collect premiums from many to pay the claims of a few.

Premiums collected minus claims paid equals profit.

Captain Steve Birdiges (radio host) of KCJJ will riot in the streets in the Iowa City area if Romney wins. He thinks Obama is clearly one of the greatest presidents ever. Bridges hates Republicans.
