There are a few powerline trails in Clifton that can be accessed off of Henderson road that can be fit a dirt bike on. You have to navigate around gates or find holes in the fences. You cant go very far though before you run out of holes and gaps in the fences at the road crossings. Also in Clifton, Kinchloe road is all dirt from the soccor fields to where it intersects Yates Ford Road. I see a good amount of powerline trails thoughout the fairfax station area just not sure which ones are closed off by gates and fences.
I have seen fairfax county police riding around on 650cc dual sport motorcycles so they have to patroling some sort of more major trail system in the area.. maybe someone knows where. Either way im sure non of it is technically legal to be on.

2 problems- Someone will call the police and a motorcycle cops will give chase
and FFX countty will gladly send out the helicopter at the taxpayers
expense

You will get caught even if you get away when you load up your trailer
and head on down the road

Instead take a short trip (1 1/2 hours) to either three places to ride legal

GW national forest- Taskers gap has about 50 miles of trails
Moto Cove- Outside of winchester and they have 70 miles of trails
Cant remember the name but there is a MX track in WV 30 min from
harpers ferry.

It's a bitch and you should have places to ride around here legally but there are not. Nothing worst than having to try and ditch the cops just to get a fellony evasion.

thanks for the info. a short trip is not almost two hours, but I understand. That is what I have encountered also..again, Thanks for making me not look crazy when I tell people there is no place to ride around here, and if there is, no one is talking.

The George Washington National Forest. Anywhere from Strausburg on down. Wolf Gap. Vances Cove. Woodstock Tower Rd has some great roads off it. Fort Valley. Edinburgh Gap. Its a ways away but its the best wheeling in VA. Camp out. Ride/drive all weekend. HaHa. Don't blow it up! Woodstock Towing can get you out of just about anywhere up there. But that $hit ain't cheap. A good wing man is key too.
