Video surveillance footage also shows Mink spitting at officers guarding one of the doors and then throwing several objects at them, including a traffic cone, an unknown rectangular object and a stick, the release said.

Mink then used a long pole to strike the officers repeatedly, hitting their shields at least five times, according to the release.

Investigators identified Mink due to two notable tattoos -- one on his neck and another under his left eye, according to TribLive. Mink can also be seen in a social media post he made holding a long gun and quoting Abraham Lincoln, who said, “The ballot is stronger than the bullet.”
