Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Got me a new fangel gutter three thing filter, like they show on the TV commercials. Gonna save me a lot of money too!!!!, never will be on a dangerous ladder again. Suckers!!!!
the leaves rot in time and come down the drain pipe as fertilizers. My gutters are used for squirrels to hide nuts and Robins to find worms and bugs. Just helping nature.
I can access all my gutters from the roof. I just climb 12 feet up a ladder and hose them down. Only one side is high enough to kill me if I fall. Im careful. I have those shitty gutter guards too but small debris and sticks still get through. My gutters will clog and overflow if I dont keep them very clean so I have to do this otherwise I get water damage.
good time to inspect the roof Wrote:

Don't worry about it, think of a Leaf Filter though. can be installed right over your existing gutters, no structural water damage again. And you'll save a lot of money!!!!
Those Gutter Filters, wouldn't a person still have to clean the accumulation above the filtering system though? I don't get it? All it looks like a fine mesh screen on a bracket. Wouldn't even the screen eventually be clumped with detritus. People in the TV audience just nod their heads and ask easy questions. Must have offered the audience a free bowl of soup there.

As long as they are efficient, don't want to have to climb a ladder to do gutter inspection like I have to with those Vietnamese gutter cleaners anymore.
let his kid ruin the house by talking him into those cheap ass gutter helmet things. they work great if it's a light drizzle, but the downpours we've been getting lately have overflowed his gutters and caused water damage inside the house
my trumptard neighbor has fallen off his fucking ladder. He seems OK; just a twisted ankle. He says he fell because his wife was distracting him (quite possible as she henpecks him a lot); she says he fell because he's drunk (very probably as he is always drunk).

They definitely help but you are right they dont keep everything out. Maple tree seeds are a good example. I have combo of some just metal mesh and some of the plastic mesh neither is perfect. The plastic is flimsy and often clogs occur on top of the mesh and cave it in. The metal allows small twigs and all the maple seeds in. Eventually they wash into the downspout and clogg

So you used a hose to put water down your gutters in order to let the rainwater... go down your gutters? That is brilliant.

They invented these things called 'nozzles' the create a 'high pressure stream.' Are you the mentally ill middle aged fat dude who stabbed his father? Have you ever been able to do chores or work on the house?

They work pretty good in a Desert Environment I hear.

Wait for it. Hurricane season just started. That was the earliest hurricane in a long while. Wait until August heats up the Atlantic and we start to get the CAT 5 storms.
As for Trump rebukking... the hurricane went directly over DC so more like Trump attracts disasters.
