The tread is fine on mine its the cracking Im concerned with. If you read the Michelin email they say this is normal and 'ozone cracking' isnt covered under warranty. I believe my mechanic overstated the urgent nature of the cracking. That said, 25 months is bullshit for cracking tires. The car I drive them on is very well cared for is never overloaded and my driving is normal and safety record outstanding.
Ive been a big fan of Michelin - Ive run them on my cars exclusively for almost 20 years now. Im mystified as to why these tires are cracking.
