There's a real redskin fan. Typical of the attitude that if the redskins did it, it must be good and will lead to good things. No matter how stupid. Peterson was really the only thing keeping them from another super bowl trip according to you fags.
3-13 would be a good year for the local dancing niggers.

They should've brought back Alfred Morris. That would make too much sense. So in typical fashion, Danny boy goes out and pays top dollar for a washed up back because of his name. Same story over and over and exactly why the team sucks ass.

Redskins’ second-round pick, Derrius Guice, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the first quarter of the preseason opener at New England and they replace him with a 33 year old running back. Must be almost September.
Dan Snyder football management at its best - let all the homegrown talent and proven players go and import bad picks and washed up stars from yesteryear. For fucks sake already.

AP is the best running back in the history of football. And he's still has plenty of miles in the tank. Call me crazy, but this is already starting to feel like a "special season".

The loss is bringing up talent from within or at least young players on the rise. Tells everyone in the organization they will be replaced by the next shiny thing instead of hard work and determination. AP has the added problem of PR baggage lowering the already poor reputation of the organization.

You can’t bring up young talent from within if you don’t have any to begin with. All the other backs on the roster have underperformed. AP is a decent stop gap solution until guice is healthy.

Total bullshit. Would the Patriots sign AP at this stage of his career - never ever. Not a chance. You would be better filling the practice squad with running backs and bringing those hungry young players up one by one. You sound like a trumptardin Snyder ball-licker.

At this point in free agency Peterson was the best free agent RB available, unless you would prefer Danny Woodhead or Jamal Charles.
Not an ideal situation but when your second round pick blows out his ACL in the first quarter of the first preseason game your options are naturally going to be limited.

you know this theory has been tested. Teams like Patriots and Pittsburgh promote young talent from within the organization or off the street. Skins have always picked washed-up stars. When was the last time the Skins went to the Superbowl?
At 33 a RB is well past his prime - they generally are done between 28 and 31 years old at best.

The Redskins aren't the Patriots however and they don't have anyone else on the roster that has proven they can be a competent back.

you really dont read do you? I do agree that the Redskins arent the Patriots - dont you think that might be cause to do something different? Like find and promote the youngest hardest working talent rather than washed-up stars disguarded from other teams.
The fact we gave away our own developed talent like Cousins to MN (for nothing) and are picking up dregs MN released years ago should tell you something.

Does anyone else get the feeling this is about to be a exciting year? Eggles are having QB problems, Cowgirls suck, NY Midgets SUCK. Hell, win your division and get a nice playoff run going, see where it leads too?

Eagles having problems? What planet are you living on - they have most of the Super Bowl winning team back this year. What do we have? Old players past their prime that never played together before.

Dude, You really know nothing about the Patriots do you? They pick up and discard players of all ages every year...does the name James Harrison mean anything to you? The Redskins HAVE been promoting and working with the draft picks at RB...how's that been working out? They paid AP minimum salary to fill the need for another practice back, and see if he can help. Fat Rob is still the starter. Jesus Christ!

Jay Gruden & company have been working with pretty much the same backs since Jay's second season as Head Coach. None of them have really panned out. Guice was supposed to be the bell-cow back everyone longed for, but due to the injury, Jay has to look elsewhere for now. AP was the best available back on the market. There's nothing them stopping from getting another one after preseason cuts. Mike Gillislee and Jeremy Hill are great backs that might get cut by the Pats.
