Let's take a small stroll back through history. Leading up to the 2012 election, the Liberals were so desperate to smear Romney, they would say anything necessary to get their mission accomplished. Yet, here we are ... early 2014 and a lot that was brought up by Mitt and even Sarah Palin years earlier are now what we're seeing in the here and now.
Just keep believing the Liberals ... after all, they know so much more about the future than anyone else.

Barry was nostril-0-deep in yayo in the 1980's. He probably really wishes he was snorting up Colombian pixie dust right about now. Putin's going to show him how power is used in the 21st century. John Kerry's historiographical lesson on uses of power from century to century was truly an embarrassing moment for American foreign policy.

It doesn't make a damn bit of difference which party is occupying the White House. Bush was no more willing to stand up to Russia's intervention in South Ossetia as Obama will be to Russia's intervention in Crimea.

Bush couldnt have even if he wanted too. Reid has full control at that point and Bush already had one foot out the door at that point.
And actually yes Bush did keep them at bay until the very end when progressives had got control of Congress.
The cold war never ended for Putin, somehow the party that thinks theyre all the smartest people in the room is completely oblivious to what actually happens in real life.

You nailed the issue right there: "the party that thinks theyre all the smartest people in the room..." and then just fill in the rest with whatever subject it is. Sadly for them, and for us as collateral damage, they're usually wrong.

It doesn't have squat to do with who was in control of Congress either. Once Russia got its shit together it was likely they were going to reassert themselves in many of the former republics. The only real way to stop them would have been to extend NATO protection and tons of foreign aid.

they're both involved in Cold War strategies. One party (Republican) is stupid enough to telegraph to the other side that's what they're all about. The other party (Democrats) keeps saying to the Russians, "Trust us".
