Actually not a bad list. I may not agree with all of it, but that is ok.
I would argue on the NASA point though. Without wars (usually the impetus for some of our fastest leaps in technology), you need to have something that will challenge folks to keep pushing the envelope for moving the bar. Pioneering was one of the biggest ways to keep expanding the horizon, and keeping the spark alive in folks that there was still more to learn from our world, and now our solar system, and maybe one day, the rest of the universe. For now, we keep it small like Mars and Europa and places like that.
Space exploration and the technology that goes with it, is one of the ways we can continue to make our lives better, and also possibly identify natural resources that we can use to supplement our current use, and maybe someday make it so we no longer have to destroy and pollute our world to provide the means to run it. Asteroids may turn out to be good sources of raw materials for providing future fuels. So we really do need to keep exploration of Space and the Oceans a top priority. The more we can focus on that, perhaps we can keep from having more wars in the future - although where man goes, conflict surely follows hmm?
