Probably racist too? Based on what?

The shooter pissed some woman off somewhere and may or may not be a weird fuck, but you can tell already the anti-gunners and scum biased media would love the scenario to be innocent, mistaken black kid vs. evil whitey gun neck.

It's a tragedy, but the first simple step to avoid in the future is to not startle homeowners by climbing thru their windows at 2:30AM.

Sure nuff.

That warning shot must have been deafeningly loud since it was in the house.

Here's another angle on this.

If this kid had gone into his own home thru a window drunk at 2am, his own dad would probably have killed him.

Poor kid. Goes to the wrong house at 2 am with two of his close friends. None of the three notice that the driveway is on the wrong side of the house. Or the landscaping is different. Or the latch on the gate to the back yard is not the same as his. Or the back of the house and yard are very different than his. But fortunately, the screen prys off the back window the same as at his house. And this house has a burgler alarm. It goes off. Landing inside, finds the furniture is all different. And since it's not his house, he doesn't know how to silence the alarm. But at least the staircase looks familiar. Except for the big white guy at the top telling him to get out of his house. The guy who fires the warning shot. Who was not on the midnight shift at the fire department that night. Bad luck. Though no reason to back down the stairs or leave the house. But no matter, the kid was drinking and the homeowner should know that the teen is not responsible for any of his decisions. If I had a son, he would look like him. Poor kid.

If you live in Virginia a "warning shot" could be used as evidence that you were not in fear for your life and therefore not justified in using deadly force.

How is it clear that the homeowner is a piece of shit? You're down on him and the NRA because he protected himself and his family from a burglar who proceeded towrd him even after a warning shot?

You're pretty damn ignorant.

Which is why you dont do something stupid like fire a warning shot. There is only ONE reason to pull your weapon. Not to scare someone, not to intimidate someone, not to wound someone.......only to shoot to kill someone.

All the facts aren't in. For all we know the boy was there to fuck the wife while the fireman was supposed to be working... The fireman may have been laying in wait to murder the boy in cold blood. I find it interesting the fireman was so quick to call the press. Perhaps to insure his spin got out there... All the alarms, 911 calls and warning shots seem like a lot of ass covering to me... Just throw away anything you think is a fact... This investigation has only just begun!

I dont blame the guy one bit for getting his story out via the media. Once the race baiting flame throwers like Al Sharpton and Co and Jesse Jackson get involved this guy will be portrayed as the Grand Wizard of the Sterling branch of the KKK.

I have a question; How do we know the "warning shot" was fired before the fatal shot was fired?

I mean, let's say he shot the kid. He then decided for a better cover he needs to add this "warning shot" scenario. So he shoots the ceiling a few minutes after he shoots the kid.

This scenario would make more sense than the firing a warning shot and the kid continued up the stairs. That shot was loud.

Also, I remember in college several times drunks entering the wrong room and getting in the wrong bed. Hell, I had a high female rugby player cross the hall and get into my bed while I was out taking a piss. It happens when you are tired and over intoxicated.

Who cares? He was under no obligation to fire a warning shot to begin with.

If they can prove that, he would probably be guilty of the illegal discharge of a firearm in an occupied dwelling as the threat was over by that point.

No it wouldn't. It actually makes no sense whatsoever as he is under no obligation to fire a warning shot.

Did she crawl in through a closed window, set of an alarm and then refuse to leave when warned?

Of course he did. A home owner has a right to defend himself against an advancing threat in 100% of cases. Don't like it? Don't break into someone else's house.

You know what else was loud? The alarm. That didn't seem to deter this kid.

I'm not sure I buy the "wrong house" scenario. This guy is apparently drunk off his ass, to the point that he allegedly enters the wrong house. Then he makes his way through a strange house, probably in the dark, definitely wasted, and doesn't trip on a single piece of unfamiliarly-placed furniture? Seems to me, either he was sober enough to navigate the unfamiliar layout, or he knew what house he was in and he knew the layout of that house. Or both. Either of those scenarios points to a story more nefarious than a drunken mistake.

Either way, warning shot or not, if you're not smart enough to back down in the face of an armed homeowner, I can't feel bad for what happens to you.

I'd say that anyone with swastika tattoo has some racist issues. Im surprised they'd even allow to be a fireman with something like that.

Where did you see he had a swastika tattoo? it wasnt on that scorned woman site which he likely doesnt even know about since they'll remove whatever you ask them to with a simple email...

Not if you had read the statute regarding deadly force in Virginia (posted on the 1st page). The homeowner is immune from civil liability for injury or death.

Source for this? Or are you just some butt-hurt buddy of this "budding rapper" trying to get some internet justice? Think like an adult for a second - if there was ANY dirt on this guy the media would be all over it. Remember every little thing about George Zimmerman? And his wife? And his parents?

Face it.... Your friend is dead because he broke in a house, likely with maliscious intent. He was drunk and black - we all know the equation: drunk*black+breaking&entering=rape.

Your little pervert buddy was trying to rape this firefighters hottie daughters and now you wanna discredit the firefighter. Good luck with that, if I am on a jury and have to choose between a hero firefighter whose home is in the middle of being invaded or the drunk budding rapper who is committing a felony I think you know who I'm choosing.

They forgot to factor in the monkey formula. All shit colored folks are a danger to themselves. A brown person is 100 TIMES more likely to be killed by another turd, kill themselves or to be incarcerated than whites. Whites are only 50times more likely to be killed by a monkey than the other way around. Source: 2010 census and DOJ stats 2011.

Ok Einstein, tell us all what "civil rights" of the deceased burglar were violated? This is the Al Sharpton logic. He's black and he's dead, therefore he must have had his civil rights violated.

Not being in the mind of the Fireman , we'll never know his exact motivation, but its not a stretch of the imagination to realize that it must be quite disconcerting to wake up and find an uninvited unannounced man sized person has broken into your house.

Would the fireman have shot if the kid was white? At the same time, would there be a similar outcry if a black dude shot a white intruder?

And what was the motivation of the kid? Was it only a drunken mistake, or did he have a more insidious intent?

One irrefutable fact remains. If the kid was home where he was supposed to be , there would have been no incident.

The punishment may have exceeded the crime , but it is wise to remember that a lot of people around here have guns.

If policemen, who are trained for these incidents often kill people under questionable circumstances, how much more dangerous would a half asleep, scared citizen with a gun be?

Don't want to get shot?

Behave, pay for your pancakes , and don't wander into peoples homes.

A bullet doesn't care about your intentions.

An unfortunate incident for both parties.

But if the story holds up, you can't blame the fireman. He's in his house. Someone breaks in. The person who breaks in starts up the stairs. The homeowner tells the person to stop and fires a warning shot. The person doesn't respond properly. The homeowner shoots.

Did race have anything to do with it? You tell me: Someone breaks into your house. Your wife and children are upstairs. The intruder is white. Are you going to think: "Oh, he's white. No threat there."? I don't think so.

The intruder was a teen, though whether the homeowner was aware of that is uncertain. Still: Someone breaks into your house. You can tell he's comparatively young. Are you going to think: "Oh, unless he's 21, he can't cause any real harm."? I don't think so.

The intruder had been drinking, though whether the homeowner was aware of that is uncertain. Still: Someone breaks into your house. You can tell he's been drinking. Are you going to think: "Oh, he's been drinking. I guess he's a happy drunk. I only fear sober intruders."? I don't think so.

No. Not another Trayvon, unlike Trayvon, this kid did it to himself. We all know my ass would have shot someone entering my home. He fired a warning shot, kid didn't heed his warning, that's his problem.

And it's a damn shame because he's the only black male I've ever actually found slightly attractive. He must be mixed.

Quite the opposite, him firing a warning shot means he was reluctant to use deadly force, and used it only as a last resort. It shows he was not eager to use a firearm on someone.

You might want to study up on basic law. The precedent has been used hundreds of times and almost always results in an out of court settlement.
