Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Another Officer had purchased donuts for the station, but inadvertently left the on the roof of his car before driving away.
They were searching for the missing donuts. No word yet on whether they were found or the condition of them if indeed they were found.

Oh comon'. If you don't live near Ft. Belvior or South County you have no idea what annoying helicopter noise is.
They'll use the helicopter for anything now a days, thats what are taxes go to. I mean on Saturday, chasing a kid with alcohol who ran from the Chantilly winter dance into Greenbriar using a helicopter, a little extreme.

i would argue it is better due to the personification of the donuts which put it over the top.
"the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish."
Actually, two cups of dunkin donuts coffee also fell off and were the target of the search.
Stupid holier than thou pontificating motherfuckers. "oooh, i cant sleep because the helicopter is flying". Go fuck yourselves. You go day in and day out, maybe coming into contact with a police officer or crime once in your life.
If you were injured in a car crash, or if your mother was raped you wouldnt be bitchin about he helicopter coming out to play.
Goes to show you - most people are complete dumbasses and assume knowledge they dont have and 2) the fcpd is out there puttin their asses on the line for a bunch of whiney fucking morons. Go kill yourselves.
haha, puttin their asses on the line. Only two officers have ever died, yet they've killed countless. They use helicopters for anything, they are pigs. I'm assuming your married to a cop, but really wake up, this is Fairfax County not the Bronx.

GO FUCK YOURSELF........... "only two"? fuck you and the horse you rode in on, bitch. Two officers were ambushed in the station parking lot by a little fucked up jackass, probably not unlike yourself. I truly hope that you give the two fallen officers a little more respect than that; if not, i sincerely hope that you burn in hell.
No idea why the heli was there, but they use them for all sorts of nafarious purposes; illuminating the area when there is a car crash and either someone died or is stuck and it's night, chasing down people who have been speeding and are now stupidly running, chasing people who stole from a local home or business, chasing people who have assaulted someone else, etc. I got to listen to them last week for over an hour, some idiot crashed into a parked truck on my street.
All of these incidents mean they're going to be buzzing the area for at least a good fifteen minutes. When they are searching, they follow a circular pattern and unless you're lucky enough to be on a far edge, you get to hear them for quite some time.
As for complaining about it, posting here does nothing. Get involved and complain to your supervisor and congressmen and senators. When you are a big enough pain in the butt to them, they'll work to change things. If only to shut you up.

Those are 'nefarious' reasons? They seem perfectly logical and un-nefarious to me.
Why can't they get some of those UAV's, that Los Angeles Sheriff's is experimenting with. They are cheaper, quieter and very hard for the perp to know he is being watched.

because they are cheaper, quieter and very hard for the perp to know he is being watched.

Four officers of the FCPD have died in the line of duty in 68 years. Two shooting deaths, and two vehicular deaths. One of those vehicular deaths was related to a response call, and the other was a training accident. I respect them and their cohorts for the jobs they do. BUT, let's keep in mind, that in the past month, FCPD officers have been accused and/or convicted of some pretty serious crimes. It would be curious to see what the rate of death is in the department and the rate of criminal activity is among officers vis a vis other departments and other professions.

No, I was asking a question, fuckhead.
Hey, aren't you supposed to be working the drive-thru tonight?
FCPS has converted to electric golfcarts- saves energy and they are cheaper to operate, with the budget cuts and all. But they are slower, so FCPS security now uses the lawn mower tractors to chase punk kids.
