is there a reward for turning in drugs?

I was having a debate with a friend yesterday. We argued rather or not it's worth it to get involved with drugs if we knew of either a place they were sold, or found them. What would happen if they were turned in to the police? Would there be a reward? I said that you're simply doing your civil duty, but he argued there must be a reward involved. Perhaps not for the found drugs, but surely for the location. Does anyone know the answer?
