The July 28, 2020 special meeting of the City Council is being held electronically pursuant one or more of the following: (i) Code of Virginia Sec. 2.2-3708(A)(3); (ii) the currently effective ordinance enacted by the City Council implementing emergency procedures to ensure continuity of government (Ordinance No. 2020-16); and/or (iii) Section 4-0.00(g) in HB29 and HB30, to undertake essential business of the City. The Mayor and all members of the City Council are participating from remote locations through a video conference call on GoToMeeting. Some City staff may be present in the Council Chambers, but the Council Chambers are not open to the public for this meeting. The meeting may be accessed by the public exclusively through the live broadcast on City Channel 12 and streaming on the City’s website.
