I've heard of 'Can't see the forest for the trees.' What is it when you are so dumb that you can't see either one?

The company I founded and retired from pays our lowest employees 15 dollars an hour as part time 20 hr a week custodial staff. They averaged getting 75 dollars a month gross extra pay with The Presidents tax cut.
Take your lying bullshit back into the gutter and tell it to people who don't pay any taxes because they don't work to get your votes
By 2027, there will still be massive deficits, but 53% of filers will be paying at higher rates than they were in 2017. 1% or less over that same period will have enjoyed an incredible bonanza.

Election babble. Some here were probably stupid enough to buy it though. What he might try if he still has the votes is to make the current middle class disaster permanent. Dumb as they are, the goobers would likely fall in line behind that idea.
Everyone who works got a cut, the same every ones who will get a tax raise with Democrats
Why don't YOU work and get ahead and get some of the big money Leech its a free capitalistic country still. Can't crawl out of the gutter still huh. Or you make enough as a rabble rouser of welfare leeches
Its actually funny to think anyone on this board benefited from the GOP tax give away to the rich. Sure the inheritance tax minimum went from 10 million to 20 million - how many here were affected by that? My friends in high real estate tax states are paying significantly more now that the Feds are taxing taxes. Thats right they have to pay taxes on money they pay in real estate taxes.

I already worked and got ahead. Retired in ease and comfort these days, but I still don’t get as much as peanuts from the Trump tax cuts. Imagine how dumb you are to think that you’re holding anything but the short end of the stick. Pitiful!

Odd how the GOP bitched and moaned about spending and debt when Obama was battling the Great Bush Recession, but now that the economy is strong again, they want to create that they hope they can use to crash Social Security and Medicare. Bunch of worthless America-haters is all they are.

You are confusing withholdings with tax liabilities. One simple way to increase the amount of money an employee takes home each pay period is to decrease their withholdings. If they end up having to pay it back the following April it is not much of a benefit.
Did your company require its employees to recalculate their 2017 tax liabilities using 2018 tax rules? Did it require that each employee fill out a new W-4 and actually make the calculations? If it did not you only know how the new law affected their withholdings. We made arrangements to have a tax preparer come in to our office to meet with our employees individually and calculate appropriate withholdings based on end of the year tax liabilities. From comments we got a number would have gone from refunds next April to having to pay. Some were looking at higher combined tax liabilities under the 2017 tax act.
^^^ We're kind of small, so we kept it simple. Put up some notices and passed out a worksheet explaining the changes that occurred and what employees might want to consider doing about them. I doubt everybody did the right thing as the result, but at least we encouraged them and gave them the chance to.
