Most anything I used that was a durable good in 1980's is still in use. Amazing.
The chinese one: poor reception, occasionally it changes radio stations mysteriously (it's failing) when the radio has been on continuously.
Most anything chinese bought (ie, when walmart and homedepot and sears didn't sell any usa competing product or i risked a low cost purchase): is in the land fill.
---------------------
so here's the thing. there are many items "made in china" that are worse than the original
radio designs are many. you expect the later better radios to find there way into production
but it's not true: the made in china democrat crowd is about making failing equipment knowing full well it will fail (because that's already known from the past), and need continual re-purchases AT NEARLY THE PRICE OF THE durable models that do NOT need continual purchases
