It is a regrettable situation, regardless of race.
But I'll play.
I'll bet Not Asian, or Indian (American or Asiatic).
Given Lorton's demographics (According to Wiki, 39% White, 30% Black, 18% Asian, 17% Latino, "and the rest" with a mix of races bringing the total well over 100%, and factoring in crime rates by demographic, I'd say Whites, Blacks, and Latinos are all good picks, but I'll toss a coin and say Black.

I grew up in pohick estates nearby. Dolsie grove had this house when you make that immediate turn off pohick and right before you get to the first right turn....house on corner with white iron face like people have in queens,by. Real gaudy shit. Lady ran a daycare for kids of Central Americans....me and my buds would buy coke from a guy that lived there. They cut it in the bathtub, bc they were pushing that much. Worse time to buy? 1730-ish bc parents were picking up their kids. Even tho I was coked up I would be embarrassed that I was pudding my life away when these immigrants were busting their ass!

If I've got the right two people, then Gregory Le'Shai Dennis and Ryan Jonathan Cross were both black.
More interestingly, both men were also on deferred disposition for possession of marijuana, which may be why there's speculation that their murders were the result of a drug deal gone bad.

Two young, loving guys were taken from us too soon. Greg and Ryan were the best of friends who ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time. Franconia Police District – A 21-year-old Lorton man is facing charges related to the double homicide on Dolsie Grove Drive last week. Kelsey Jordan McCrimmon, 21, of Dogue Indian Circle in Lorton, was arrested yesterday, by our Fugitive Squad assisted by members of the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force.
McCrimmon was apprehended around 4:30 p.m. in the area of the Cosmopolitan Apartments on Lorton Station Boulevard, on an unrelated robbery charge. The robbery occurred on Sunday, July 2. A man placed an online advertisement for a cell phone for sale. He met a potential buyer and at some point during the transaction, the buyer put a handgun in the seller’s face and robbed him of the cell phone.
This morning, the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County authorized felony warrants charging McCrimmon with two counts of second degree murder in relationship to the double homicide on Dolsie Grove Drive on July 26. Detectives have determined that this was a drug-related incident.
