WILD SHOOTING

Just heard on the radio that some people drove by a police cruiser on the east side of the county and fired off a number of rounds from a moving vehicle into the cruiser. No word on any injuries. Anyone hear the same thing or can confirm? Drive-by's common in that area? Protesters maybe?

It was NOT the shooting on the 6600 block of the parkway in the groveton area last night at 1 AM. That involved a possibly drug related shooting resulting in what was described as a kid being the victim.

shots fired at officer in cruiser. One round hit hood & another hit rear quarter panel on passenger side. Bullets missed officer.
