Police are searching for Kawain Tyrell Smalls, 19, who is wanted on charges of attempted robbery, providing a false identification, receiving stolen goods and probation violation.
On Aug. 30 around 10:30 p.m., police were called to the 1500 block of Hylton Avenue in Woodbridge, where a 29-year-old man reported being robbed the day before by three unknown men.
One of the robbers assaulted the victim, knocking him the ground, and the others went through his pockets, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
The victim didn’t have any property to steal and the three culprits fled.
On Sept. 6, detectives were able to identify Smalls as on the suspects and issued warrants, but had been unable to locate him, Perok said.
On Oct. 2 around 4 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Burntwood Court in Woodbridge for a suspicious vehicle.
An officer talked to one of the people in the car, who gave a false name and fled on foot, Perok said.
Police determined the car was stolen and Smalls was the person who ran, Perok said.
Smalls’ last known address was in the 13100 block of Armstead Street in Woodbridge.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Solvers at 703-670-3700.
In July, Kawain Tyrell Smalls, 19, of Woodbridge, was charged with three counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit a felony, and one count of using a firearm in commission of a felony. He is now wanted on attempted armed robbery and other charges.
