What I don't like about it...and I've said as much to my Father is, "Isn't it enough that they flew you over first-class, shuttled you from the airport put you up in a great hotel, let you tour the factory and pick up your car there? Aren't the memories from that experience ENOUGH to keep you happy about something you worked for your whole life? Nope, Dad...it's not enough is it? You've got to leave the German plates on there because you're an attention whore and you enjoy people asking about your 'funny license plates' so you can brag that 'Oh yeah...well, I needed those 12 years ago when I picked the car up...IN GERMANY...AT THE FACTORY.'"
2 years ago when I bought a new Corvette, I left the "factory pick-up option" unchecked. I negotiated a "bring it to my house option"...for free and saved myself the aggravation of going to Butt-Scratch Bowling Green, Kentucky instead...I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the attention whore's tree.
