I wrote: (yesterday)

"It will be interesting to see how they play it today if at all. Mike will probably reference it as "Hey were here sharing our real life all laid out on the radio here, hearts on my sleeve." Spontaneous, what you see is what you get! Real people and reality radio! Were all best friends here and sometimes we fight!..............Right...........Bullshit."

This is what Mike did almost to the T. He threw in that they've been together for 18 yrs and are like brothers. No mention of the money thing. And also that he has had a lot of late nights recently and was exhausted.

He also tauted the fact that this has generated a lot of buzz on facebook and has substantially boosted interest in the show which he said was good.

That explains going from 39th to 37th in the last 24hrs on I-Tunes.

One funny thing. they were talking about posture and how it's important to have good posture. Mike then compliments Carla on her posture then Rob chimes in "Ya she's only 4'10" but looks much taller than that........... No Shit Sherlock?.... Giraffes look a lot taller standing fully erect.

Then Mike went into a list of "6 things that waitresses won't tell you" and thats where I baled.

How much longer can they keep doing this podcast and not make any money off of it? I mean really, the show is starting to be a joke within itself now and uncomfortable to listen to! Yesterday's salmon blow up by Mike was odd to say the least. And then they address it today as if it was no big deal over fish? You better believe there was more to that fight yesterday than just salmon and a grill. It sounds like tension between the boys has been building up for sometime now. You know for damn sure it's tension over money.

Like previous posters have said on here before, the wives will be the ones to put an end to the podcast. They can't carry the financial load of food, shelter and the kids' needs alone on their shoulders. Especially Mike's wide load, he probably eats more than Robb and his kids put together. I think it's time for Mike to man-up to Carla and admit that this podcast thing isn't going to work. Sure, the show makes his ego feel better, but it's not going to keep the creditors away.

Mike is also losing a lot of time. The more time that goes by, his market value goes lower, and the more he looks washed up. The podcast is almost counterproductive, radio executives might see that he is much more happy doing his own podcast and will actually NOT hire him! If Mike wants to be successful again he needs to get out of that living room trap he's in and start networking for some work.

You know Mike is all proud about his spat with Buzz. I'm sure he thinks it's just his natural ability to spur interest into his dynamic personality. He bragged about all the buzz generated around Weds. segment. Talked about how it has boosted the shows exposure. 35th on I-tunes comedy up from 39th. 33 comments on the episode as opposed to their usual 20.

And today an hour long infomercial for "Mangrate" make sure you clip your coupons.

I agree that Mike is wasting his time and effort. I've been a loyal follower of this thread for 2 years and have learned a great deal about radio and podcasts. At this point in time, Mike O'Meara should get a job as a motivational speaker on how NOT to run an Internet business.

As I see it, the fundamentals are that you have to be able to sell your product or service and be able to improve it to make more money. From what I have read on this thread, Mike has a minimal amount of advertising such as a Chicken place in Rockville, which may have dropped out. Why does he accept this? Mike and his gang need to hit the streets and sell advertising. They also need to learn Web design and Internet purchasing. They don't have a sales team doing this for them like they used to. They need to have a thorough understanding of hits to their site and downloads from the site. They have a business that they refuse to market.

In addition, they need to try to improve their product or service. Their show on WJFK was so bad that it was cancelled and now the new show doesn't connect with the outside world via phone callers. As bad as it was on WJFK, it is only half as good now. I don't see any improvement or effort to improve. They don't have a technical staff like they had at WJFK. They can't just talk for an hour a day and sit back to wait for the profits.

Today's grilling show was hard to listen to, it does not translate to radio well at all. BORING.

It was just plain gross to listen to Mike as he had a mouth full of food and tried to talk at the same time. It made me want to gag at times as I listened. :-p

Lastly, it just sounded like an infomercial for Oscar and his Man Grates grilling racks. The fact that they have to use Oscar's company to sponsor the show is a good indicator that the podcast has a hard time finding companies that want to advertise on it. Hey Mike, it's not a good deal to advertise on the show because not enough people listen to it. DUH.

They'll never ever get to the level of listenership they need to make this a money making venture because the content and quality of the show is awful.

PLESE READ ME! _________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________

I enjoy the show, but Mike is an A**. I don't think he realizes that it is a group effort and without Buzz and Robb, the show would not work or be nearly as successful. Just like when he started the last show when he was very appreciative, then over time starts to inflate his head and be ultra sensitive to the point that if anyone is in the spotlight for a moment or disagrees with him, he will blow up and rant like a child. If you remember the old show, he would do this regularly.

Mike, you are not on the radio with a contract (even thoughn that means nothing in radio). You are asking for money from listeners and if you make them uncomfortable and anGry with your attitude, they will not support. I'm now glad I did not purchase the RAW shows and contribute to your pocket. If I could contribute to Buzz or Robb personaly I would.

I guess everyone heard the big announcement yesterday. Mike's band is back! I guess that's another project that will soon bring him fame and fortune. (Practicing with his band was the reason for all those late nights that made him so cranky he went off on Buzz. Yeah)

I keep imagining Carla coming home after a long day at work to find that what was once their living room is still Mike's podcast studio -- complete with sound buffer pads on the walls. Then she gets to listen to Mike jamming with his band until the wee hours. Must be magic.

Nothing like living with a 50 year old rock star wannabe.

I just feel bad for Carla having to fry up all those omeltes for Mike and his 'crew', to make use of all the eggs from all the carboard eggcartons that Mike made Carla staple to the walls of the Podcast Studio/Audio Room/Living room/Latenight porn-viewing lounge. I bet there are so many pubes on the floor Carla thinks it is wall to wall shag carpeting.

The guy seems to be kind of old to be going through a mid-life crisis. Maybe this is just the extension of the one he has been going through since he split with his 2nd wife and hooked up with Carla. Kind of sad, when you think of it.

Mike is going to be a very lonely old man.

Shocker. My account and posts were all terminated from www.junks.tv websight. There was one new response on a new topic board claiming JP was going through a hard time and to respect his privacy. Heres an idea, have your slutty side pieces dumb ass block any random from looking at your personal pics. Especially since the first pics are long before the date you said you separated from your wife. JP was always a dick about supposed cheaters and guys getting divorced with children. I thought I heard the Junkies and station management CK have awakened the phytons of sex and are having a spring break show sometime soon. What no junkettes but a bikini contest?

Getting back to O'Meara and his band back together . I once came across some pictures of O'Meara playing with his band CARP on either flcker or photobucket but can't seem to find them no more
do those sites drop photos after awhile or does someone know where they might be

Ugh I really really wanted to like these podcasts and I was a huge Big O and Dukes fan but listening to these idiots stink. Mike loves making it all about himself and listening to him talk with his mouthful about food is not entertaining. I dont know why they all put with him. He doesn't tlisten to the rest of the guys oscar and buzz especially. robb is a kiss ass and only feeds mikes massive ego. great a band with a 19 yo and some failed radio perssonality on drums AWESOME. I think this podcast would be a success without omeara at all. He sucks. well maybe let him do some voice work. clearly mike cant carry the show. how bout some new shtick? hahaha zabba zabba zabba mikeomeara.com COMEDY GOLD! OH YOU OLD QUEEN! HAHAHAHA these jerks are so out of touch...mike refers to facebook as his website and is mad when people bust his balls on it. did i hear correctly he just figured out how to copy and paste? I dont think he understands social networking sites at all. As OScar would say "I'm All In," really he has never heard that phrase before...sorry forthe incoherent rambling and the awful grammar, sspacing and spelling...my dog decided to destroy my laptops keyboard and its 5 in the morning.

Sucks big time. Mike O is -was- a talented, funny impressionist. What happened? Was Geronimoooo the Oz pulling the strings behind the scenes? There is never even any premise that is engaging on these podcasts. I am a fan of Buzz. He needs to get a gig at WTOP or WMAL or a news station in Baltimore like WBAL. His talents are squashed by Mike.
And when did Mike start panhandling from listeners??????????????????????????????????

What made D&M great, and Geronimo a genius, was that each person had a defined role to play. Mike was the impressions-spouting sidekick. Rob(b) was the asshole closet Nazi. And Buzz was the stiff and rigid "newsman" with the bizarre sex life. Don gave them just enough time during each show to contribute something useful (remember, during D&M Rob(b)'s contribution was virtually always off mic and in the background...for good reason).

Now, you have four guys who ramble for no good reason and they aren't able to hold it together for an hour, much less four or five.

Don't know but Mikes 54th on the I-Tunes Comedy Chart this morning sinking like a rock. He claims over one million DLs of the show. His stated goal is to be in the top 10 on I-Tunes for some reason. It's not like Arbitron if you get to the top 10. It means very little in the money making scheme of things.

I'm sure there are plenty of Top-10 comedy podcasts that don't make shit for money. I guess Mike hasn't figured out yet that the more downloads he gets, the more he is going to have to spend on bandwidth. His business model is doomed to fail. It's not a matter of if, but when.

Mike is reminding me of Homer Simpson when he gets confused over thinking something and actually speaking it.

Lets see... He was going to get a webcam... phone line.... Were the Buzz Babes (not quite as hot Junkettes ripoff) suppose to make a return? Were getting the band back together.. Were gonna really get out there to press the flesh and market this damn thing.. Maybe go bowling or buy an RV? Raws going to "monetize the website"?

It seems their brainstorming is going nowhere fast.

What I think is funny is Mike introduced his business manager on the air as "the genius behind the RAW shows." I detected more than a hint of sarcasm when he said it. That thing must have been an absolute debacle.

It's funny how mcsmack always gets the best of Perry Wonder. No matter what - mcsmack is always quick on the draw to put down this asshole. Does anyone know what he looks like?

I sort of visualize Perry Wonder as a nerdy dweeb with glasses - sort of like that guy on the Subway commercials.

Nice post, Angie aka mclardtard. Only a man with fatcells floating around in his head would think you have gotten the best of me. Speaking of Subway mctubby, you should try it, it worked for Jared. Granted, you've got a few pounds on him, but you've got to start somwhere. Right, mcfatass?

Truth is, it is mcsmack feels pretty shitty about his weight and lack of life beyond stalking Don Geronimo and has to post under multiple names in this thread. Talk about pathetic.

The thing that's funny in that picture is Robb's beard. He's one of those dumb fat guys that trims his beard to make it look like he has a jawline instead of a fat head. You're not fooling anybody lardo. It looks just as bad as a bald guy that has a combover.

You can see in their eyes and posturing how they feel about the show and the future of it.

Oscar and Buzz are doing their best to come off as believers in the product, but they know better. They are already planning on how to tell Mike that they have other opportunities and they need to move on.

Robb is trying way too hard to look enthused that he is there. Or perhaps he is trying to convey that he is surprised that this "show" hasn't ended yet.

Mike looks exhausted. I really cant blame him though. After an hour-long show of dissapointment every day, having to sign a few T-shirts can really wear on a person.

Last time I checked, shows are supposed to give away promo items (like t-shirts) for FREE, not charge for them. I think they should just have a telethon, and if you meet a certain level of contribution you get a free tote bag! Of course that would require getting those phone lines hooked up…

Riiiiiiiiight, you are Angie, a completely disintersted poster who only happens along this site just recently, and coincidentally you agree with mclardo 100% of the time.

So, tell us, Angie, what do YOU look like? You seem interested in what everyone else looks like, so tell us about yourself.

I've finally figured out the meaning of this photo. Mike is shitfaced and Oscar is propping him up for the photo. Buzz was shoving a dildo up his ass in the bathroom and didn't have time to take it out before everyone was called together for the photo. And Rob(b) just noticed the Domino's Pizza guy standing at the door...

I gave today's podcast a try after having given it the finger for the past month or so (I bailed when they went on "vacation" after the RAW business).

To open with, a solid 7 minutes of the hoary "Charlie" bit, whose appeal has always been totally lost on me, which I had assumed was because it was sort of an "inside" thing for long-timers dating back to the morning-zoo days of the old D&MS. Now, it occurs to me that maybe it just isn't that funny, and never was.

After the Charlie bit, we segued right into -- wait for it . . . the dog shitting in the house! Another seven minutes or so of retch-inducing images of a drunken, morbidly obese rage-oholic rooting in feces.

Somehow that became a few minutes of actually listenable, topical commentary about Conan O'Brien's move to TBS. However, the gist of it was Mike's attitude of disdain towards "basic cable". Obviously, none of the crew saw fit to point out to Mike, nor did it seem to occur to Mike himself that . . . oh never mind. Then of course, immediately after the Conan stuff came more blather about Spartacus, "the best show on television", which airs on a pay-cable channel which isn't even available on a lot of systems.

Lame.

Re: The Mike O'Meara Show

"Charlie" was funny on D&M because Don forced Mike to do it even though Mike hated doing it and because Don would roll "Charlie" out on unsuspecting interviewees who had no idea that they were talking to someone who was not actually mentally handicapped. THAT was funny. Not the "Charlie" character in and of itself.

Perry is like the 800lb gorilla on the thread or crazy aunt living in the basement. Everybody knows he or she, or he/she's there but pretty much ignores him/her. Just a regular old run of the mill MOMS Hack and not a very good one at that...... He found me on Twitter with a pic of me in my back yard at South Beach (thats what really pisses him off) and won't let it go.

And by the way something, all the Angie's I have known are hot. Don't know about Perry's Posse. I'm positive he hasn't had much luck with the opposite sex whatever that may be. I think Perry's bitter...... Sad, bitter, defeated, lonely and destroyed.Just like his prime idol Mike

If you look at their own message board show summaries since the beginning all you have is food, dogshit, Mike's incontinence, being fat, more dogshit and so on.

Don would actually put together a story about events with his dogs and make it enjoyable to listen to. With Mike it's just, "I was drunk and my dog shit in the house again and I'm drunk fat stupid and lazy"

Christ have mercy.... The lazy, drunk and stupid dumbshit can't even get off his fat ASS and let his dog out once in a while? Jesus , I mean he's only there about 100% of the fucking time! Oh wow! My dog shit in the house again! He is really starting to sound like an absolute slob and lazy dumb fuck. And doesn't even realize it.

As I said before, mcfatass, you have me beat by hours listening to the other fatass bosox podcast. If you have listened to one second of the Mike O'Meara podcast, you have listened to a thousand times more than I have.

South Beach is not much to write home about. Seriously, half the value of my property in either Fairfax or Isle of Palms would buy you and your three closest neigbors' houses. As for your twitter account, shouldn't you describe it as your Don Geronimo stalking account?

So, mctubbs, you think I have had bad luck with the opposite sex? I'd actually take the worst piece I've done and put it up against the best you have even come close to. Speaking of bitter, why are you single at your old age? Too fat and pathetic to actually make a life for yourself? What about your son's mamma, I bet she is a looker.

As for bitter, you have proven that you are exactly just that. A nonfunny fatass.....sound familiar? It should, as your unfunny shtick is probably as unfunny as that fatass O'Meara and the rest of his assclowns. You should sit in on the show as I am sure you could teach him a thing or two about rapid weight gain.

Watch out Perry Wonders swinging dick coming through.

Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms
Just 15 minutes from downtown lies Sullivan's Island and the Isle of Palms, two of Charleston's barrier islands. With 10 miles of sandy beaches, beautiful marshes and luxurious living, these islands have given its residents an escape from urban living since the 1800s.

The East Islands are especially attractive to relocating executives, perhaps because they are only minutes from Mt. Pleasant and a short drive to downtown. The East Islands have quick access to shopping, restaurants, hospitals and businesses while living the beach life.

Sullivan's Island is located at the entrance to Charleston Harbor, has a history of proudly protecting the harbor from military invaders and is the sight of a major battle of the American Revolution. Today it is an established residential and vacation community. Quaint shops, restaurants and pubs welcome locals and visitors. There are no hotels, motels or bed and breakfasts on the island. Most homes range from $1 to 7 million.

Right next door to Sullivan's Island is the a residential community bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and lying 10 miles north of Charleston, this island, with its salt marshes and wildlife, offers the best of both worlds…vacation and permanent living. The Isle of Palms is self-contained, with shops, dining, an array of beautiful accommodations, and two championship golf courses. Charlestonians have been flocking to the island for holidays since 1898. With new bridges and easy access, the island now offers the seclusion and charm of a sea island, where people from around the world often turn their vacation into permanent living. Just minutes from downtown Charleston and the culture we all dearly love about the South.

Wild Dunes a world-famous resort and private community, is located at the northeast end of the island. Housing options range from oceanfront condominiums to luxury homes on the ocean, marshland or overlooking golf courses. Boating, Golfing, Fishing, Crabbing or just sitting around the cabana listening to low country music…this resort is a lively place to visit and a happy place to live.

This just isn't 63 pages. This has been a journey. Tracking the demise of someone as obstinate and intransigent as Mike O'Meara has been a teaching moment especially for his supporters if they could take their blinders off if but for a moment. I say they would learn more by reading the 63 pages of this thread, than they would during a semester at their local community college......If they could get their GED to get in that is.

Today marks Mikes second year anniversary on his own. Tomorrow is the two year anniversary of this thread. This has been a two year lesson on failing business models, quality control, marketing, defective production, public relations and horrible management and leadership skills.

And look at them now. Trying to sell T-shirts on the street corner. These guys aren't getting any younger and they've just wasted two of what should have been their most productive years of their careers for no good reason. Mike has marketable skills and resource but celebrity status and selling shirts with his autograph is not among them.

I'm sure Mike has people in his life (however few) waving him off but it appears he has made up his mind and won't change. I don't see this ending well for Mr. O'Meara. This whole public escapade is starting to remind me of the movie "Leaving Las Vegas".

Don probably sees this explaining why he drops Mike a bone every once in a while on his Twitter. DG will be signed shortly after June 1st and the chances of him coming to Mikes rescue will seem more and more remote to Mike as the summer draws on.

Desperation is a sad and pathetic thing to watch. The only thing that pisses me off is it was all avoidable on Mikes part. Now we'll just have to sit back and watch this whole thing unravel over the summer.

Happy Anniversary Mike,

and you to WTL!

Well put, mcsmack.

As I have said many times on this thread, it doesn't irk me that Mike is drowning in his own crapulence. What bothers me is how Rob(b), Oscar and Buzz are going along for the ride (and dragging their family members with them in the case of Rob(b) and Buzz). At first I thought Rob(b), Oscar and Buzz were doing it out of a sense of loyalty. Then, I thought maybe pity. But I have come to realize that they are doing it because they are just fucking stupid. And, like lemmings, it won't dawn on them what is happening until they have fallen off the cliff following Mike's lead.

Just how sad is it that Mike still sells Tee Shirts that say "The Mike O'meara SHOW." Is a bunch of guys babbling on the internet for free worthy of being designated a "SHOW." It's just as foolish as showing them sitting around the dining room table with the thousands of dollars in electronics gear, headphones, big professional mic's, etc, when me and my friends used to accomplish the same with a Radio Shack cassette recorder. And these guys are adults!!!! Grow up already.

These guys are putting ZERO effort into this thing. Adam Carolla started out doing occasional club gigs. Now he is booking clubs for an entire week at a time in order to generate revenue. These fucking bozos, on the other hand, are in a career death spiral and the best they can do is cook salmon in Mike's backyard. They are totally screwed.

Unfortunately you will not be making the list of outstanding writers.

Please learn basic grammar and how to spell before you attempt to communicate in English.

I'm sure that will carry some weight at the bankruptcy proceedings.

Al is a reverend who talks about cycling. Danny talks about Boston-area sports teams. Some great company there.

wow, you guys are all clowns. isn't it pretty much common knowledge at this point that Mike O'Meara is not funny? You idiots really have nothing better to do than to compile 63 pages of posts over 2 years dedicated to explaining how fat, dumb, and lazy mike is? Go out and get yourselves some F U C K I N G lives. You guys must be jealous of him or something. When DG left WJFK, I listened to mike for about 4 days, realized how unfunny he is without Don, and stopped listening...THATS IT! Why does mike bother you all that much that you have to constantly return to this thread to say the same shit over and over. Now you guys can all go ahead and tear me a new one because apparently everyone on here just likes to put everyone down, but im not going to read it. Unlike you worthless pieces of shit, i have better things to do than sit here and read through countless threads.

Oh yeah, McSmack: you're gay; Perry: you're just as gay. stop bickering like 5 year old girls and go cock-dock each other already

Losing a house is a "big thing." So is divorce.
