so i tried to get multiple "general home construction" jobs from age 13 and up. when i was "old enough" there were (unrelated to this article) problems so let's skip that.

i did consider roofing as a job and did a little research at one time. but clinton years they were already ^^roof^ , scamming , hiring illegal aliens , and so on. though many roofs in fairfax were still pleasant. during clinton all of the sudden "job ads section in wash post" became non-existent.

long story short - i didn't end up with a roofing job though i had been interested in arranging to get in one and couldn't start a self-roofing business due to economic factors and zero support around me for doing such a thing (from family). one example is there were many "roofers" already, but not advertising for work in wash post anymore. but a company required new clinton fees for starting, higher insurance, and ABOUT $2,000 TO ADVERTISE in the yellow pages. way over my head. it was common that kids could not gather the resources to start business back then. it was why companies with employees existed.

my belief is these good people would disbelieve that customers would have no choice, weaponization, and warning would do no good, and if they could have been convinced of it - they would have stopped it

ROOFERS IN VA only get paid, "on average", less than amazon drivers. and it's hourly it's not a "because they aren't always scheduled" kinda averaging - and since roofs are like lawns you can't do it every day customers may be distant: IT MEANS AMAZON PAY is allot more than a roofer's pay




i seem to remember that before i had a truck (old as it is) and considered my own roofing business then or making allot of roofing calls to companies during CLINTON liar hire illegal alien economy (the jobs weren't advertised)

* jobs not advertised in va during clinton their hiring was ... done in different ways. infact schooling isn't required - so odd.

it was set up in days you needed the big truck to get all the materials on site dropoff - own all the "professional tall ladders" (and "ladder trucks police won't ticket") and many most roofs didn't require ropes and workers didn't use safety ropes and didn't "need them"

so: i'm comfortable myself taking a risk if my home or family is in danger and the risk needs to be taken. a large tree limb that endangers home as it grows. been there done that. not exactly a safe thing depend on mr tree you know. getting a bad spot (which if it is let go becomes a deep deficit) painted though you don't (yet) have experience or an expensive harness system (even on a nice roof it can be challenging). or many other situations where a little or allot of risk simply needs to be done however you justify the safety setup.
