Danny Snyder's Six Flags
Posted by: Fairfax MF---er ()

So a girl gets her feet cut off on a Six Flags ride. I wonder what Danny Snyder thinks of his investment now...

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/06/22/six.flags.accident/index.html

...Here's the "money quote" from the article: "Her feet were recovered by Six Flags staff and were sent to the hospital with her, McLean said."

I wonder if the staffer got "employee of the month" for that one. Ugh.

This accident happened at another Six Flags not the one in PG county. Does Danny own that one too?

Emergency workers are supposed to try and recover body parts so the doctors can try to sew them back on. A teacher from my school had his finger chopped off when the wind blew his classroom door shut on his hand. The kids said the ambulance workers actually picked up his finger from the floor and put it in a little cooler box just like a lunch box. The packed it with him on the stretcher. That's all those middle school kids talked about for days - the chopped off finger on the floor of the classroom. Yep, they sewedit back on and it looked pretty normal. I think you have to attach it soon after before the body part thaws or starts to decompose.

I can't help but wonder if John Bobbitt's privacy part looks normal now after it was just lying on the side of the road for so long. I hope trhey can sew that girl's feet back on.

Dan Snyder owns all of them. Hence, he will be sued for this accident.

Little Danny Snyder is used to chopping. He chopped down a bunch of trees that were blocking his majestys view of the Potomac. The park service told him not to do that again since it was on public property. He got like a couple hundred dollar fine and he had to plant more trees to take the place of the ones he had chopped down. Shouldnt take but a few hundred years for them to grow back to the original size.

Disneyland/World has killed and maimed people too. I wonder if these corporations carry liabity insurance or are they self-insured? One thing's sure....they got lots of lawyers to try and screw accident victims.

I refuse to knowingly put one red cent in guys like Danny Boy's pockets....from the Redskins on down...not one red cent.

Little Boy Danny may be a stakeholder in the six flags (NYSE:SIX) biz , but it is a pubicly traded company. The corporation is the one who may or may not be liable not Danny.

And yes, Six Flags has insurance.

There are really no Federal standards for the safety of amusement park rides, although there may be state laws and regulations (got that FRIENDLY ATTORNEY? You can not sue for amusement park safety violations in a federal court, OSHA being the exception but then the injured would have to of worked at the amusement park and other conditions would have to be met).

From what I have heard, Texas, where the accident happened, is pretty lenient for safety standards at amusement parks, again that is what I have heard - not legal advise.

The whole amusement park park industry is pretty much self regulated, and quite frankly, they do a pretty good job overall. When was the last time you heard about an accident at Kings Dominion or Disney? The accidents are few and far between and with the millions of people visiting amusement parks and fairgrounds every year, the chance of an accident, historically speaking, is very very small.

Six Flags is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the the name "SIX". If you own a diversified portfolio of mutual funds, you are probably invested in Six Flags. Thus, you are a stakeholder, sort of. Again there are laws about what mutual fund participants can call themselves, but you are a stakeholder.

Danny is a stake holder in Red Zone LLC, you may see his name or Red Zone LLC listed as the owner of the 10 million shares. Oh, FYI, Cascade Investment is a private investment firm owned by and managing investments of a man named Bill Gates of Redmond Washington.

Corporation and insurance company may be liable. Danny and Bill are not loosing any sleep tonight, trust me.

I hope we all learned something today.

It was most likely an igloo cooler. The cooler, sealant, and some ice - preferably dry - are all you need to transport a kidney, heart, or finger on an airplane. Ambulances are more lenient - no sealant needed usually.

And yes, it goes with the stretcher. They do not want to take the chance of mixing up body parts or having the body part driver arrive late at the hospital because he stopped for coffee.

As for the Bobbitt situation, I would rather not think about it.

i ran across a story about the whole incident. the only evidence of what happened was a small scar that was (apparently) not very visible. then he went off to do porn as he got in from his celebrity. then a botched "penis extension" job landed him with a weird lump of fat (that was what was injected) on his penis. i forget why, but he's currently in jail.

they can reattach the girls feet "no problem" but some serious surgery would have to happen if she wants to get ANY use of her feet back. the nerves have to be reconnected as that is what allows us to control our muscles.

nerves branch out so the ones to reconnect are large but reconnecting them isnt easy, not by a long shot. here's an image of the nerves (in yellow) in your arm: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/db/Gray816.png

plants make use of the pattern with their roots in order to get maximum absorption of nutrients as you can see in this image http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/72/Root-system.web.jpg. in the same way our nerves get maximum coverage in order to make all of our skin sensitive to touch.

Yeah that is right. In Oct.2005 I had a compound fracture of my tib and my fib. (Joe Theisman break). I had surgery but the top of my foot is still numb from nerve damage when the bone went through the skin on my ankle. Only one nerve was damaged so that's not bad. With two feet cut off, I iagine they would need microscopic surgery to reattach all the nerves. Even then thet may not regenerate. It takes a year if they are going to regenerate.

How did the girl's feet get cut off exactly? Was it the cable that snapped that cut her feet off? Or what?

They don't really say how she got injured.

You know, I still cannot watch that replay of Joe Theisman getting his leg broken by LT. I still can't even see the xrays of Barabaro's broken leg either. The ironic thing about my broken leg is I was hiking in Kauai for my retirement trip, a gift from my hubby. I slipped in the mud on DAY 2 of the vacay. Too bad I never got to see much of that beautiful island except the emergency room in Lihue. I did get a free helicopter ride down from the mountain but I was in a basket and they told me to close my eyes.

You know, Lawrence Taylor has never contacted or apologized to Theisman for that tackle and the broken leg. I would have at least sent him a card or a balloon.

Hello Joe,
Sorry about breaking your leg like a toothpick. Sorry about ruining your career as an NFL player. Sorry about that break is the only thing people will remember you for.

Get well soon. here is a balloon.

Best regards,

LT
