1. In 1996, after Bilderberg had met in Canada, Estulin said that war with Yugoslavia over Kosovo would take place in 1999. World´s leading intelligence journal, Jane’s Intelligence Review did not come to the same conclusion until half way through 1998

2. In 2002 during their meeting at Chantilly, Estulin correctly predicted Iraq war for February-March 2003. At the time, every media outlet in the US was screaming war for September 2002.

3. In 2002 Estulin said that oil would go to $100/barrel by end 2007. He was off by two days. It hit $100 by January 2, 2008.

4. In 2005, Estulin said that oil would hit $150 by summer 2008. It hit $147.5/barrel

5. In 2005, Estulin said gold will hit $1000 in 2007. At the time it was hovering around $300-350/oz

6. In 2006, Estulin predicted that US economy was about to crash, just as the rest of Europe.  He said that Spanish housing market would suffer a 50% decline within a year, and was right on the money.

7. In 2007, Estulin predicted that once oil hit $150 it would plummet to about $30/barrel. All part of an economic warfare against Russia and China

8. In 2008, Estulin announced that Obama and Hillary attended Bilderberg meeting in Chantilly and that US Bilderbergers told Obama that the presidency was his to lose. They also told Hillary to stay out of his way.

The gathering outside the Westfield Marriott hotel in Chantilly included Ron Paul supporters, Occupy veterans, members of the 9/11 truth movement and Oath Keepers, a Tea Party-affiliated group comprised of military and law enforcement officers.

Carrying signs with messages such as "Humanity is winning" and "Warning to secret societies: you are pissing off American patriots. We have machine guns also," the 200 or so protesters could only be there for one event: Bilderberg.

The annual off-the-record gathering of global leaders in finance policy and national security was taking place behind chainlink fencing, No Trespassing signs and scores of local police. At the base of the driveway, the protesters congregated to denounce the meeting and shout at the occasional vehicles that entered and exited.

Participants in this year's meeting reportedly include Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, Indiana governor Mitch Daniels, Henry Kissinger, senior officials from a number of the world's largest banks, the co-founder of LinkedIn and a member of the Syrian National Council, among others.

According to Bilderberg's website, the forum is intended to foster a "broad cross-section of leading citizens that are assembled for nearly three days of informal and off-the-record discussion about topics of current concern especially in the fields of foreign affairs and the international economy."

The protesters were enthused by the turnout over the last two days. "The first day was already a record," said one, Justin Wallis.

Among the most vocal participants at Friday's rally was radio show host Alex Jones, who frequently led the demonstrators by megaphone. He argued the meeting constituted a violation of the law.

"This is illegal. Government officials meeting and discussing policy with private interests in secret, or representatives of other governments, is a violation of the Logan Act," he said, referring to a federal law first passed in 1799 that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments.

Jones was confident the presence of protesters was having an impact on the attendees of the meeting.

He added that Bilderberg meetings allow high-ranking officials to make deals away from the public eye.

"It's mainly about big government contracts, for the big wigs," he said. "And then the big wigs give the government people in the revolving door jobs."

Police made at least one arrest on Friday when a young man stepped into the street, prompting condemnation from the crowd. On the whole, however, interactions between protesters and the police were peaceful.

"It's just a day of work," said one officer, who insisted he was "not guarding anything", but simply protecting the Marriott's private property rights.

Bilderberg critics are often labeled conspiracy theorists, particularly due to beliefs that the meeting is a sinister attempt by the global elite to concentrate power and establish a global government.

But protester Max Dickstein insists the summit merits scrutiny.

Dickstein, from New York City, lived two blocks from 7 World Trade Center, which collapsed on September 11, though it was not struck by an airplane. His uncle was killed in the attacks. Dickstein was 12 years old at the time. Explanations for the collapse did not sit right with him.

"I couldn't really trust any narratives," he said. "Two planes hit three buildings. That doesn't add up to me. I felt an obligation to this movement," he said.

For Dickenstein, the fact that so many powerful figures meet at Bilderberg in a fashion that lacks transparency leaves him wondering, "Do people at this meeting know something I don't?"

Wow. You people that call them paranoid obviously have no clue about the world we live in. True paranoia is hanging spent bullet casing outside your front door and barbed wire on your fence, with you constantly looking out the window of your measly little home that probably won't be broken into anyway.

We live in a world where people fly airliners into skyscrapers, where the most belligerent countries stockpile nuclear, chemical and biological weapons like a kid hording marbles, where the most powerful people exploit anyone and everyone under them for the sake of a dollar, euro, or yen, where money is god, and speaking your own damn mind is frowned upon whilst hearing mind-numbing, mentally damaging commercials every 10 minutes is the norm and is even welcomed.

Tell me, why is it so damn easy to kill thousands, but helping thousands borders on the impossible? If we could improve lives at even a tenth of the speed of our ability to destroy, we could live in a great world.

But no. The people that try to help or point out those pulling the strings, whether intentional or not are labeled crazy, naive, or radical. Those who destroy, are just doing their jobs.

I would like to quote MARTIN LUTHER KING JR, and say that "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS THE GREATEST PURVEYOR OF VIOLENCE IN THE WORLD TODAY SINCE NAZI GERMANY."

Nothing has changed since the 60s.

There is no doubt these Builderburg people are rich. Hell, if I had their money Id rent a hotel too and not tell anyone why. Id also wait for the conspiracy theorists to make up stories and start to protest. Id then sit in my hotel overlooking all these fucktards and laugh at them.

Some Bilderberg theorists believe they're meeting close to DC because of the presidential campaign. They met in Chantilly in 2008 as well. Logistically speaking, Westfields Marriott is the best hotel/conference center near Dulles International Airport. I don't know if you've been there, but the property is also set up in a way that ensures privacy without being in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, I'm sure they picked the Westfields Marriott because of its privacy. I don't doubt for one minute they enjoy listening to and smelling you fucktards. They way it's set up gives them the best chance of not hearing your unintelligent propaganda and smelling your girlfriends hairy armpits.

If these people are so powerful and try to keep these meetings secret, why don't they just have all you people zapped to ashes and removed?

I first heard about Bilderberg in 2008 when they met here last. Then apparently they met in Greece in 2009, and then Spain in 2010, and then Switzerland in 2011, and now they are back here. They certainly do seem to get around!

The world’s 190-plus states now co-exist with a larger number of powerful non-sovereign and at least partly (and often largely) independent actors, ranging from corporations to non-government organisations (NGOs), from terrorist groups to drug cartels, from regional and global institutions to banks and private equity funds. As a result, new mechanisms are needed for regional and global governance that include actors other than states. This is not to argue that Microsoft, Amnesty International, or Goldman Sachs be given seats in the United Nations General Assembly, but it does mean including representatives of such organisations in regional and global deliberations when they have the capacity to affect whether and how regional and global challenges are met.

Moreover, states must be prepared to cede some sovereignty to world bodies if the international system is to function.
