Has anybody noticed that since Lotte opened up last week the traffic has gotten horrible in the Ravensworth Shopping Center parking lot as well as the stretch of Braddock Rd from the Beltway all the way to Burke Lake Rd? Also went into Lotte and wasn't too impressed. El Grande on Hechinger Dr tends to be better. The Asians in Lotte use the shopping carts much like their cars. Very Horribly.

It might ease a little once H-Mart opens in Burke.

Which is worse, shopping in the smelly Korean grocery store, or in the ones run by price-gouging, multi-national corporations and infested with bad-attitude union thug employees?

I have not gone in the store yet but the parking lot and center are in the processed of being trashed. Hope the landlord saves the sky high rent he is getting from Lotte cause he will need it to discount any non-korean store owners rent. I predict the center will be 90% Korean stores with minimal English signage within 8 years (I think many stores renewed for at least 5 years upon the recent facelift). I feel for the houses behind the Lotte - must smell like Cannery Row

What's the going rate to bribe a health inspector to ignore the unsanitary conditions at a Korean grocery store? I want to make sure I'm getting a fair rate, without demanding too much!

Sure enough yesterday I stopped by the 7-11 and it stank like rotting fish - the Lotte loading dock. I feel sorry for the houses behind that toilet.

I would highly recommend 2 places that have good Mexican in NOVA: Chuy's at Springfield Mall (sorry, I'll never call it a Town Center) and also Guapo's at Shirlington.

I like La Tolteca, 5614 Ox Rd.

Anitas best item was always the breakfast burritos. A year or so ago they shrank in size but they are still good IMHO.

El Paso in springfield 6804 Commerce St is good as well

Yea some things about lotte are gross particularly the smell of the fish section and most of the clientele. However, they do have some pretty neat stuff particularly in the produce section. Produce generally seems to be very good quality. And if you think any of the shit produce at Giant or Safeway is any cleaner, you are sadly mistaken.

God knows what they use as pesticides in China or wherever that shit is grown.

Safeway was better than this Korean invasion. They have spread from Asiandale to Manassas,Tysons to Springfield. Like a plauge of stink breath.
Anita's says it will open mid summer,its now almost Fall.Good food though. It doesn't give you the shits like Tippysrecylcled crap

Ravensworth Shopping Center is a heel hole now. It just continues to go down hill.

They need to demolish the entire place and start over.

Agreed, Lotte is disgusting and make no mistake - those people are Not assimilating. They tolerate the white devil there but they have claimed that shopping center. The Asians wonder around in the parking lot walking in the middle of the driving lanes. The store smells like a fishy shithole. They pile food up on crates in the isles and there are mountains of disgusting fish guts in every isle.

The Mexican place is late opening and they still have not filled the Bisano;s shit pizza place. That spot will never lease. Kilroys is disgusting. Bout the only non-disgusting stores are the Asian golf store, Swiss Bakery and the weird Boy Scout shop.

The lotte there is horrible, the one in Chantilly is a bit nicer. Hmart in Annandale which is only a few minutes away is much better.

I think it would have made a lot more sense if they rerouted Port Royal Road through the parking lot up to the intersection entrance for the shopping center.

The in process, they clear out that bottleneck at Port Royal and Braddock, then redevelop out that way, maybe tear down that office building in the process.

Or they could just demolish Ravenworth all together. The place is falling apart anyway.

What’s wierd about the Boy Scout shop? That’s a cool place for different types of outdoor gear.

I get the uniforms but everything else in the store is some other brand with the manufacturer's brand ripped off and Boy Scouts brand pasted on. Weird. Also the pinewood derby racket. $$$ for plastic wheels, balsa wood and decals.

Has anyone been to the Anita's yet? How is the food?

I never go to that shopping center anymore and had forgotten that they were opening in September.

They actually didn't open until last month. I went yesterday for the first time but it was for carry out. They have a separate door on the side by 7-11 that is the carry out area, kind of like Vienna. I got a couple of breakfast burritos and they were just as good as always. Not a long wait time, friendly staff, some of them I have seen working at the Vienna location before. While I was waiting I did step into the sit down area and it looked really nice. I will be going back. Plus it only took me 10-15 minutes to get home.

The shopping center looks terrific! Love having Anita's close by. The Hong Kong Express is really good and now Jersey Mike's! Something for everyone. Great Rite Aid and golf store. WoodCraft is a great retail addition. Kilroy's has needed upgrading forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bunch of old drunks. The karate and the swim are great for kids in our community. Overall a really nice place to get whatever you need.
