Question: If the county would hire more HS teachers, would this allow for more classes to be taught - thus mitigating the purported constriction of available courses for those schools who claim such a lack?

Actually, it is a pretty quick trip for Floris and McNair students to Westfield HS in the mornings. All of the rush hour traffic is going in the opposite direction. For those going southbound, there's not much traffic at all. It takes me 15 minutes to get from McNair ES to Westfield HS when I get stuck at the 4 traffic signals on the route. Going eastbound from McNair to South Lakes takes longer

I should have specified the children in my last post as "the children who may be redistricted". In all three of the meetings we attended, all of the potentially affected children had meaning

Actually, the children who may be affected DO understand the important issues. The only one with which they are not involved is the artificial issue of falling property values. It has no relation to the quality of a child's education. We adults have poisoned

Just got back from the meeting at Oakton. It was really fun to show my kids around all of the classrooms where I attended, oh, many moons ago. Anyone out there tonight from Room 247? Ours was pretty civil, and the Berdhuises came in numbers. Good night! May you all sleep with the angels.

I won't list all reasons, but here are a couple: 1. For families who will now have older children in one high school, and younger children going to a new, different one, this is a logistical nightmare. Having to support

Hi everybody, Don't forget to bring your children to the meeting tonight; it is their voices which need to be heard above all. And that goes for you, too, South Lakes. Also, please remember that this is an excellent lesson in civic action - be the example for them.

Here's anecdotal experience: I contested a speeding ticket a year and a half ago. I went to Court, and had to sit through MANY ticket proceedings as my last name, and the last name of the police officer who wrote me up, falls within the middle of the alphabet. The first few officers botched their testimonies against their first drivers by providing insufficient detail of the scene, and/or incom

Even with the increase in the immigrant population, I have observed a slow exodus of non-immigrants from the ar
