trash bags on Rt50

I saw a bunch of trash bags on both sides (Eastbound and Westbound) of Route50, or Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy, between Fair Oaks Mall and the exit onto Rt28 yesterday. Initially thought some stupid drivers had thrown out their trash bags out of their car windows while driving, but there were so many and they were sort of left consistently, say every 100 ft or so. Does anyone know what's going on? If some volunteers had collected trash on the street, they should've picked them up on the same day.

It was probably the jail taking the homeboys out for a little clean up.

I'm sure they'll be picked up soon.

I still saw some not collected behind the rails at the exit from Rt50 Westbound onto West OX Rd N (Maybe they were really thrown out by idiots?). I hope Fairfax cop sees this thread and pick them up. It's too dangerous to do this myself.

it is usually county picking up trash and leaving the bags for vdot workers to pick up the bags later after they are all done in that area.
