Everyone is worthy of respect and support unless you're a fat barber who wants to give out copies of the constitution. Or a republican in JOTT (one of the seemingly endless places LFF disregards his rule, never discuss politics in a bar). Unless you're an overworked nurse who doesn't move fast enough to accommodate your unscheduled doctor's visit. In the five years that TMOS has been on LFF has mocked gays, the fat, various races and as recently as 3 months ago he and Eight were regularly bashing Bruce Jenner. At one point LFF tried to make some statement that IF Jenner were making a transgender switch maybe they'd give him some distance but since he's in the public eye we "call him out for his hypocrisy" for not being more transparent.Wow! Now that the PC culture has swung 180 TMOS has seamlessly fallen inline. A show about 3 guys busting balls as long as it's never at LFF's expense.

To be fair, as odd as this seems, Catholics are actually more liberal than followers of many, if not most, of the other Christian traditions. At least in New England, which is my personal experience.

Massachusetts is one of the most Catholic states in the country. (2nd or 3rd depending on which survey you find) and it is undoubtedly considered one of the most liberal. It has the most Catholics, yet was one of the first to legalize Gay Marriage.

This is not a commentary on the Catholic Church as an institution, nor about the abuses or crimes that may have been committed by the organization and it's leaders. I am talking about the average person of the Catholic faith.

Most Catholics line up with Pope Francis a whole lot more than they did with Benedict, or even John Paul II.
