Michael Stuart, I won't be a gutter-dweller by commenting on what you did after Robb acknowledged your FaceBook birthday wishes. We all might know, but I wouldn't possibly comment.

I agree, awesome show. I literally unhinged my jaw when LFF (That's LAZY FAT FUCK for any newcomers) revealed he regularly eats in bed; up to and including steak and pizza. Howard Hughes has nothing on Mike "He is... The Shut In" O'Meara.

Hey listen: literally everyone on this board, hand to god, knows the Don's Blackberry bit. Incidentally, I don't mind you trolling the place, even though you would be outraged if anyone "from" here behaved the way you do in your fan club enclave, but at least pretend as though you understand everyone here has listened to Don and/or Mike for 10-20 years, and many, myself included, still do.

People come on here and rag on Mike and his family.

They give Don a pass because Freda died. Well less with forget basically Don walked away feom his 1st family to be with Freda and only connected with his daughter after Freda died.

Point being Don is a dick who stabbed his partner in the back and is still doing it. Don would have never made the kind of money he did without Mike and vice versa.

There's a truly amazing Marc and Lowell show out - #126. It was the mandl-est episode ever, complete with middle school jokes, cheapness, and shameless premium show teases.

- TI-82 jokes.
- Lowell throws some serious hear at MORE's Mickey.
- Marc wants to get a colonic with Lowell. Marc's voice is classic.
- Marc brings up how good The Big Bang Theory is. He just started watching and thinks it's genius.
- Lawyers are keeping then from announcing The Iron Log. Of course, they might be able to make an announcement on the premium show.
- Marc's girlfriend returned a bunch of groceries to the store, only because she started a new diet. Who does that?
- Belgian Waffle talk.

The unintentional funny rivals TMOS this week.

This.

Everyone knows about Don's first wife and him not having contact with his daughter because he was talking about it at least 20 years ago.

I haven't seen anyone here blindly proclaiming Don's podcast success, it's just everyone here knows what Mike puts out and hopes Don does the job Mike could have done for the last 4 years.

Any bets on how often the "pothead" hits his start time? Probably at least 75% at the the start and gets better from there instead of the 5%-10% that Mike's show does.

If Don's show sucks, this will probably one of the first places it's brought up and whoever does it won't get banned or deleted for it.

When D&M were working together, they BOTH would acknowledge that Don would get to the studio HOURS early for show prep, and LFF would roll in just before air time.

Some things never change. Won't change now. Don will get his show on the air, promptly, and prepared. LFF will still be mumbling his way into his show, unprepared and stumbling drunk -- when he makes it at all.

Serious question, How has Mike bought health insurance in Florida when it is documented through his own show that he has only been to that state approximately 6 weeks out of the last year? I thought you already had to be a resident to use a state's system.

Just looked at Healthcare.gov and neither Virginia or Florida have their own sites so I guess it doesn't matter. Mike said he had signed up through Florida on the show so I thought it had it's own system.

Ding, ding, ding. Hello, it's supposed to be entertaining (it's not, but it's supposed to be). If I want to hear about healthcare, and new insurance requirements, and whatnot, there are a jillion sources and websites. Come to think of it, some government bureaucrat droning on about healthcare probably WOULD be more entertaining than the failcast . . .

So true and so obvious. That is the major difference between what Don and Mike bring to the table. A two hour show will not be enough time for Don to cram in all the material he will have prepared for a show. I am guessing his new show will routinely run over time-wise because he will never rush a story or bit to just get done. Mike on the other hand routinely rushes at the end of even the bonus shows completely disregarding the flow of the show. And by the way, Don's Sacramento show wasn't "horrible". It wasn't always a homerun but was usually entertaining. Finally, for whoever said Don was an egomaniac asshole, well of course he is. We all know that but he usually doesn't come across as hateful, bitter, and feeling like the world is against him.

Was Patton Oswalt on the Failcast this week, in any way, shape, or form? Isn't he Mike's close buddy (according to LFF)? Patton was on with O&A for a good chunk of time this morning, promoting a new special and new album. Maybe next week he'll do a phoner with the Failcasters. After all, they're such good friends.

I think the mistake with this comment is assuming they have meetings, period. That gives them way too much credit. I really get the idea Oscar is the only one who has an understanding of the ugly parts of running a business, and Mike and Robb think that their contribution is printing a page of news and prepping the audio vault.

The 'Mike Madness' bit was an example of this. Imagine if they had introduced it properly to Mike, before the show, with an idea for a bit that might have been material for a month. Instead he appeared to first encounter it on the air, and it died a quick death.

His claim with Patton is that Patton is a huge fan of his from the old days because he grew up in the area. I get the feeling that if Patton even knows there is a podcast he's never listened.

Mike openly admitted this week that if anyone shows up more than 15 minutes before showtime they get at least the half-Mike attitude. So meetings are pretty much out of the question.

How much is LFF's house in Fort Meyers worth? Why doesn't he sell that and rent a place in D.C. area so he can work more efficiently on getting advertisers for the podcast?

Lo, what manner of pasty-faced chronic masturbator is this? Jormand?

Don was married at 18 and divorced 6 months later, years before he met Frita.

Good try, fuckwad. You could have been so cool and happening if Don hadn't ruined your life.

As Major Bill might say "He's very very bitter."

Mike's show prep:

1. go to news.yahoo.com

2. Pick some stories. DO NOT PRE-READ.

3. File->Print. News Done.

Robb's Show prep:

1. Goto "trending" section on facebook.

2. Make note of anything that has sound in it.

3. Load these into separate tabs. Audio Vault done.

Oscar's Show prep:

None.

I had to work on my patio today so I thought I would download two TMOS shows. It has been two months since I listened. I couldn't take it. I could only do about ten minutes on each one. Mike was referencing 'Low Rider' song from the 70s. This make Headddd bust out in joyous laughter. In the other show Fatass was referencing Tone Loc and showing off how he knew the words. Isn't this from the 80s??? He thinks this is 'rap.' Once again, Headddddd was in bliss and laughing his ass off. Oscarlita also.

I couldn't take it. I am fucking 58 years old and it sounds old and tired and used up to my old ass. Jesus Christ you've got to be kidding me.

This shit is WAY bad.

Pretty much the entire podcast about health care and politics. And LFF not content to just spew his one-sided viewpoint, no. He gets angry at Oscar and belittles him for deigning to have his own opinion that doesn't conform to the tired old unimaginative far left talking points. Bleh.

Fuck Don Geronimo he is and has always been a dick.

Opie and Anthony owned his ass.

Mike kept his head above that and did not get involved. But as usual Don was always the dick trying to start shit with every show.

Mike rose above that and he is bitter because he was left out to dry and stabbed in the back by Don.

Don's Pay Per Podcast will get some hits early on from the loyal fans but will not be sustained. He is just stealing the Tom Lickus platform. Anybody heard from him lately? No but they do from Adam Carolla's because it is FREE.

I actually listen daily and still laugh at times, yes it needs improvement but it's FREE and gets me through the commute home.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with others that Don behind the scenes is probably a huge asshole and as arrogant as they come. He has been doing radio for years and I'm guessing he thinks he knows it all.

Having said that I think Don's podcast will be much better than Mike's no doubt about that. We will all be listening the first few weeks when he spills his guts (at least he is claiming he will do that). Once that honeymoon period is over I still think the product Don puts out will be much better.

I wonder what happens to the other shitty podcasts on the O'Meara network. Cake & Cookies, Tech411, and RobJoe Show. All shows that also need to go away as fast as LFF. Oscar pretending to be a tech guy is laughable.

Don, Howard and O&A go after other people because they know conflict creates interest which creates more listeners. Conflict is a core element of storytelling. Mike "The Great Storyteller" has removed any element of conflict from the Failcast. That's why it's so fucking boring. He pretends everyone gets along on mic and then reams everyone out off mic. If he reversed that dynamic he might actually be successful. But, let's be honest, he's pretty fucking stupid, even with that AU degree.

Carla: The book telling the riveting story of my husband's podcast is tentatively titled, "Open Mike." He rejected my suggestion of "Full Mike."

So that will be the title of the book I will be self-publishing on Amazon; it will be a series of vignettes of his interactions with unwashed pans, repairmen, portrait photographers, bill collectors, present and former colleagues, pest control guys, sprinkler guys, code enforcement officials, liquor control officials, employees, ob-gyns and other doctors, Boy and Girl Scouts selling things door-to-door, political candidates' staffs, yard signs, McDonald's employees, trash, recycling, snow blowers, dogs, dog shit, bartenders, casino machines, garage doors, airplane seat belts, the weather, iPhones, Macs, traffic, navigation apps, FaceBook, Twitter, TMOS fans and former fans, doorbells, door knocks, "radio show in progress" signs, personal trainers, fitness equipment, waiters, waitresses, restaurants, middle school basketball refs, pony boarders, cars, motorcycles, fellow bar patrons, golf clubs, golf carts, golf courses, golf balls, golf tees, golf shoes, golf apparel, golf course pros, fellow golfers, neighbors, other drivers, Virginians, Floridians, Marylanders, District of Columbians .... and, unfortunately, me.

How is it considered adding stations when he is back on the low-watt POS with no listeners that he was fired from a few months ago? The Failcast has been around nearly five years and all that time has found only one station in the entire country to carry it. In my book, that screams epic failure.

Just wondering how you missed the show where Mike said he didn't get on the phone with O&A was because there was only one person who could have won those arguments, Don, since you listen daily.

Also wondering how Don stabbed Mike in the back? When Don left the radio show, he convinced the station to keep Mike on, instead of just allowing the show to end and putting Mike out of work right then.

Yeah, I was just trying to keep it simple so maybe we could get a clear response as to what the actual back-stabbing was in Don's Blackberry's mind, even though I know it won't happen.

I've never met either one of these guys, but the impressions I get are both are arrogant, both can be asses on air, and Mike is an ass off-air as well.

The last is from not just people posting here and elsewhere about their interactions with him, but also his own admissions about things like the stove repairman, bug man, sprinkler company, suitcases, airplane seat belts, BJ's restaurant, the owner of the bar where his used to be, Oscar not wanting to wait on hold.
When Don talks about his life he doesn't come off as an ass and there are not nearly as many complaints about him from the general public. Don may have been just as much an ass as Mike in the old days but now the only place I see proclamations if him being a dick is here, by people that also claim this thread doesn't matter and is full of hate.
