The truth is that there was more than one guy so there is more than just one story. The Matt Hardy one is the one he actually was able to pin down so he ended up rolling with that one. Also, he altered some of the details in the stories so that she looked better in the end (she never got him the phone records like he said she did), etc.

Let's not reward the LFF for something he did not earn. Clearly page 124 was really about o_0 - he cannot claim page 124.

You're right.

We should give Kara credit for carrying page 124.

Years and years of putting pictures and videos of herself on the internet clearly amounted to something today.

It's a fucking internet PODCAST. It's a show.. make believe. Real life doesn't sell morons. You think your hero Donnie G doesn't embellish stories or play things for radio. Every other asshole in radio/pod casting does the same thing. Don is a fat ass, has an ugly wife, a drug addict son, a loser brother, and is an alcoholic. I'm sure ole' Donnie G smells great, that dude chain smokes cigars like a fiend. Part of the reason Don and The Junks had a problem was because the Junks eluded to Dons stank breath and fat smell on air. Sure Don has money but they will both die of heart attacks in the next five years. Crazy thing is you douche bags will still be here swapping stories about how your wife looks like some 26 year old movie star. You are all internet trolls and the only difference between you and me, is that I will admit it. Fuck off and die assholes.

Somebody is tired and cranky, and needs to go to dreamland . . . given that Don has only one kidney, and isn't particularly fat at this point, I don't think that "heart attack" is the #1 smash hit on his likely list of causes of death in the next five years, but that's just me. Yes, Don has money. And a radio show that gets ratings. And a t.v. gig. And no failed restaurant. And he doesn't have to do a stand-alone failcast from his living room. And he doesn't need a XXXXL shirt, and pants that could circle the equator.

Oh, this is sweet -- the LFF's Douchebag Warriors have launched yet ANOTHER attack on the thread! Of course, every time they do this, they (a) just make the thread longer; and (b) eventually, give up and go away. good lord, what a difference a day makes.

As for the rambling involving Don, the guy is no hero of mine. Even before his wife died he had become insufferable on the air with his tirades on callers, staff, etc. His "new" show appears to be more rehash of old bits from early 90's...in the old days you could rip off other DJ's because there was no such thing as syndication, but in this day and age, when you do something like that, even ripping off from your own old show, it just looks pathetic.

Interns have to be enrolled in some kind of college and use their work for academic credits.

22 in this market is a joke, are there even 22 other radio shows on during that time?

As for Rob(b), I feel bad about his kid having cancer, but he's a douchebag and always has been. Jormand's story just gave some more specifics on his bagginess. I have never heard someone defend how funny he is, when he isn't, more than Rob(b).

The difference is, the Junkies (love 'em or hate 'em) do pretty well in their key demo for young men. They don't have any women listeners, so they suffer in overall rankings.

K&M just sucks left and right, up and down.

Yeah, I've heard they are 4th among men 18-34, or whatever the number is. How many ribbons do they give out for 4th place again? Oh yeah. None.

The whole Kirk and Mike in 22nd place thing does puzzle me.

If a TV show during ANY time slot was consistently roughly around the 22nd spot (minus infomercials, weather channel and TV Guide), it would be swiftly canceled. Why does the radio industry suffer such long-standing medocrity?

There's probably three factors at play. One, MOM probably has a contract, so Citadel would still have to pay him even if they canned him. Two, if you are the manager who convinced the company to hire him, you will look like a failure when you fire him. Three, Citadel is probably going to blow up the format anyway, so no point in bringing in someone new until that happens.

I just miss WJFK. I came in late from across the country and wish that shit would of lasted. It make me sad to listen to the Junks now. They don't seem to have taken to the getting old thing well and now it just seems pathetic. I can maybe make it through 5 segments tops a week. I actually look forward to BDK. I guess I defend TMOS mostly because im a P1 BOAD fan and listen for Oscar and the fact that I really can't hone in on another good show.

When it comes down to it, I misss that last round of programming JFK had too. The problem is, I wasn't happy with TMOS when the station shut down, in fact, I doubt I listened that much the last couple of months. That show became too much political talk, too much bitching, too much Rob(b)......too much.....

I listened to the new show a bit, but was quickly reminded why I had tuned them out at the end. What had been spread out over a few hours has been packed into an hour and it's just an overload of bitching and moaning and ignorance. Thank God I didn't buy a "premium package".

I do enjoy BOAD, but fear they too are going to start circling the drain. There is no sense for me to turn on 106.7 any more....I wish there was something like the old JFK still out there....I wish I knew what kind of show would scratch this itch I have.

Yeah, it's not good for guy talk right now . . . at JFK, the Junks are just exhausted, they've run out of stuff to talk about, and they're not interested in learning new tricks. Wise is OK, just OK. Lavar is driving Dukes to an early grave; if you listen to BOAD and then listen to Lavar/Dukes, it's not hard to tell where Dukes' heart is. On WTEM, I don't mind the Tony K show -- he doesn't spend a ton of time on normal sports yak. The mid-day show (Sheehan and Loverro) is generic; the John Thompson show is horrifying. I don't mind the Czaban/Pollin show, particularly when the extra voice in the third chair is good. But overall, it's not a great situation.

A show I really like sumbing on when I am at home is The Dan Patrick Show....as far as sports talk, it's just about the best around. It's also the other "stuff" the tv shows which makes it enjoyable because it looks like everyone on the show actually likes what they do.

That is an understatement. I'm sure the only reason he has a show was because Snyder was a Hoyas fan as a kid. That's no reason to give a guy a show, though.

Riggins may not have been the greatest, but I did like his show. Mostly because he wasn't afraid to speak his mind. He used to tear into Gilbert Arenas on that show long before it was obvious to everyone what a complete head case the guy is.

That would be just like LFF, jealous of O putting in time on another project, when O SHOULD be devoting himself entirely to the LFF Broadcasting Empire.

Chad found it weird that Oscar was going to an appearance being billed as "Oscar from the Mike O'Meara Show" and wonders if TMOS is jealous and territorial. Chad/Drab find it odd they would think to list Oscar like that, Chad wonders if there's any lingering resentment from LFF's ridiculous statement that Chad "stole his job". Oscar mentions that in this day and age, exposure and cross-promotion is a good thing, while Mike is used to the old radio war days where a person stuck to his own show and business and probably is so hands-off that he had nothing to do with it.

Oscar doesn't want to speak for Mike but basically lays it out there that Mike is jealous that O has other interests like BOAD and that Mike is jealous and indifferent that the Tech show is the #1 tech show on iTunes (even though it's under MOM's "network" so it ought to be a good thing but he can't realize or enjoy success that isn't his own…

The segment made MOM seem aloof and like a bitter old man who doesn't much understand the technology and strategies that most broadcast or podcasters (Corolla, etc) employ today. Not the biggest deal, but Chad/LFF will definitely have an awkward dynamic between them for a while. Hopefully it will blow up if/when BOAD can come back or if Oscar puts MOMs on back-burner.

^^What he Said but one small edit^^

It's being billed as "The Mike O'Meara Show presents: Oscar Santana" he had to put the show name first and lay claim to ole Oscar. Drab and Chad are right on about this one

Thanks duder, I was only half listening myself.

Pretty douche move by TMOS (Oscar threw Ronic under the bus for it) but what do you expect.

No worries mate, Yea Mike's ego rivals his waistline. Only reason I made the edit was Chad kept saying how if the title didn't lead with "Mike O'Meara" he wouldn't see that big of an issue. It's like Mike wanted to let everyone know Oscar is here for MOM not BOAD.

All i know is that Riggins better watch himself if he knows what's best. Shooting off his big mouth behind Buzz's back was a stupid, stupid thing to do, and if he thinks Mike's gonna sit idle while Riggins blabs and makes up nasty rumors, well he's got another thing coming. Mike's not fuckin around either, that dude is playing with fire.

Oh, man, that's fabulous. "The Mike O'Meara Show presents?"

They really should have using this sooner:

"The Mike O'Meara Show presents: LFF's Enormous Gut. Now in FAT-VISION!"

"The Mike O'Meara Show presents: LFF's Downward Spiral Bar and Grill, where all the people you kicked on the way up are waiting to return the favor on your way down."

The possibilities for cross-promotional synergy are endless.

I just checked the Edge site to see if there are pictures showing his weight loss cause I was curious if there's a noticeable difference or not and they had girls from Paper Moon on this morning for strip trivia. Ugh. Way to break those shock-jock barriers, guys.

Edit: Ah I found some pictures. For the record, he does look better as far as weight goes.

It is always funny to know the ones who say the show sucks somehow knows a lot about the content of the podcasts. If it is torture for you that means you like pain so shut the fuck up and just stick a ice pick in your balls instead of whining. I am sure you make fun of his wife because if Mike ever mentioned it your pants would be around your ankles just like they were whenever Don would talk about these threads. I think Mike is better on the podcast than he ever was on the air with his own show. He only had a year to develop the show before the station flip. I think most of you on this sit in your parents basement with this being the only things in your lives so suck it losers

can any of you internet masterminds track down some pictures of psycho that I saw involving food. Not exactly a triple xxx porn site but has nude gals with various amounts of food on them. I guess some folks into that. Anyways the pictures I saw had psycho in a dress but covered in some saucy stuff. the pictures were on some bulletin board associated with the university of maryland(which is probably a fight club violation on my part for mentioning) but I've lost the link. If you can find I will be grateful as will many others at LFF central.

Last EDGEY show I listened to was last thursday LFF was in uber a-hole mode. bitchin' about how they don't have a newspaper for him when he gets to the station in the morning.just kept bitchin and bitchin' to Shamrock. Gawd I love Shamrock for giving it back to the LFF all the time! Later when the paper moon ladies didn't show LFF got back into uber a-hole mode. something about he expects guests to show up on time(say why does the edge show start around 5:20 am and not 5 am straight up) Lff said something about baby broadcasters not performing there tasks correctly and should have made sure the young ladies showed on time or have something else prepared. I took the baby broadcaster thing to be a shot at Shamrock and Kirk also took it that way and finally balled up and called LFF on it. Lff if possible, went furhter into his petulant act trying to back off the baby broadcaster crack. what an a-hole. does lff really have friends or psychofants(my word) who hope they'll get something from hanging with the lff

+1

It was funny hearing Mike's defense of Riggleman today.

"Management treats people poorly. I can understand where he is coming from. Management won't meet with you and tell you where you stand with the organization. Everyone says his quitting will prevent him from getting another manager's job. I think he will!"

Yes, Mike. You and Riggleman are soul mates. Soon to be unemployed (again) soul mates.

Um, Mike 'management' doesn't need to tell you where you stand - it's all in the ratings books:

22) WVRX [K&M 22nd, Cerphe 20th]

I don't know if there's an official change underway or not. But when you consider The Globe and George formats didn't last too long in this market, I wouldn't be surprised if on July 1 it's something entirely different.

Has it been a year since K&M started? It should be easier to cut them loose after their contract is up. I wonder how much of a cut Mike took for that job. he whines so much it is hard to tell when it is real and when it is not. I would imagine with D&M he was making very good money at the end....with the TMOS I can see a lower salary since that show was untested.....and now.....I have no idea....if the Junks are in the $250K range as is suspected in another thread, then Mike must be at......$100K?

Someone told me Mike was making well under $100K. I would have to believe that is in the $75K to $80K range. Okay for a mere mortal. But certainly "janitor's wages" by Mike's estimation.

From today's DCRTV mailbag; gotta be one of the MOMS crews, or their immediate families:

"Citadel should just leave 105.9 alone. That’s right, leave it alone. They have a great morning show, a good mid-day show and a greatafternoon-drive show. People listen. Advertisers advertise. It’s fun. It’sgreat music, no matter the repetition or lack of creativity with theprogramming. They’re getting out in the community more and more. They’responsoring and hosting concerts, shows, appearances, promotional events, community events. Everyone knows Mike, Kirk and Cerphe. That’s namerecognition. People have it on at work, while traveling around, and even atparties. There is nothing wrong with a classic rock station. Nothing. Peoplelike the morning show. People like the mid-day show. People like theafternoon-drive show. At night, it’s just music—which is great. And, some have said, even though the “ratings”be low, guess what? It’s actually making money—possibly. That’swhat some folks have said, that the station is actually making money. So what on earth is the problem? There is no problem. Citadel should leave this station alone, and give it evenmore time to grow and evolve. If they change the current programming, it will be a hugemistake—and a huge loss to the area. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and there’snothing broken about 105.9, the Edge. (6/27/11)"

Citadel should just leave 105.9 alone? Well, the listeners certainly are . . .
