Fucking things up? Debatable I'm no Goodell fanboy but the NFL is more profitable now then ever.

However, its possible the league is at its peak with new growth going to be very tough and we will start to see some decline.

I think the NFL has probably peaked, there comes a point were the changes made to increase popularity and profits start to alienate older, more hard core fans,,,

Clearly the game is not the same as it was,and I think it's moving away from it's violent history, which it has to,,,Now that everyone realizes that the after effects of the old game basically shortens the lives of the players dramatically, changes just have to be made,,,

Doesn't mean the product improves with the changes however,,,

It is time for Condi Rice to take over the NFL like she wants to. Maybe she'll make sure a competitive non-yawner kickoff is put back in place, or alternatively start all post-score drives from the 20.

edit: except in 4th quarter to allow for onside kicks.

No one is forcing those guys to play in the NFL, the league isn't run by the Red Army. If those guys want to live a longer, higher physical quality of life then earn a degree in something useful, get joe job making 40K a year and DONT play in the NFL.

Or play for year get some seed money and do something else.

Why people who have no direct connection to the league care so much about the concussions and players is beyond me.

Yes its sad what happens but that is the result of individual choices.

This is Peyton Manning at the Super Bowl in five years. Yes, he is able to play five more years under Czar Goodell's changing rules...

So true!

Yes, let's try to make the NFL viable in London and Toronto while ignoring the fact you don't even have a team in America's second largest city.

It's just entertainment, folks.

Were you this worked up over Wayne Newton cutting back to only 3 shows a week?

When the WWF had to give up their initials?

When Tonya Harding went to jail?

As long as we continue to overpay for that entertainment, they'll continue to push their puppy farms, try to kill one another in the name of sport and dumb down the game to insure their own longevity.

Yea because LA never had any teams before right? There was a reason they(as in plural aka multiple teams) moved.
