I don't really remember the 80's all that well, but my first game system was a NES and I loved that thing. I think I still have it. It came out in 89 I think, that counts right?

I have a working one also. It's fun to go old school every so often with a good game of Zelda, Metroid, Ice Hockey, Bionic Commando or Contra.

Yep.

Turtle shells opened up and you could store weapons in there and had a little peg inside the shell to hold the ninja stars.

They had some weird characters.

Baxter Stockman (he kind of sucked):

April O'Neil was hot.

Had these too:

We must have had most of the TMNTs toys.

I also had the Ghostbusters car and one day my brother pushed it off the kitchen table and something on it broke. What a dick.

I had damn-near every single one of those toys as a kid. The belt for Michelangelo was a bitch to get on and Rafaellle's helmet kept getting stuck in the drain of the tub so my Mommy Strife took it away. Still have them all up in the attic at my parent's house somewhere I'm sure. I've been steadily bringing down old toys for my strifelings to play with when we visit.

I had tons of GI Joes. I had the F-14, the A-10, the Helicopter, and all kinds of smaller vehicles. My spoiled only child neighbor had the hovercraft and the aircraft carrier. Back then the hovercraft was $90 and the carrier was $150. Not small change in 1985.

Being that you're 49 years old I assume this means you spent the decade drunk, high or laid up in a coma.

I remember when I was in second grade they came out with some GI Joe space shuttle; that was the highlight of the year.

Why did she hate it?

She was probably grossed out cuz it's no holds barred.

How many women are on here? Maybe 4?

Actually, I suspect that he wasn't born yet.

To add to the mix, X-men. My son loved those things.

By the way, I'm a "girl", and I love this site. No holds barred male humor cracks me up.
