The physical test was full of wannabe military types imitating drill sergeants, "don't call me sir, I work for a living (Army drill sergeants)," who continue to claim that their training is tougher then marine boot camp and army ranger school. The detective doing my background was racist against white people, looked like marcel wallace from pulp fiction. Told me he wanted to disqualify me from the very beginning then 1 month later did disqualify me. Said I had low character, integrity, parents did a poor job raising me because he had morals and values. Continued to say he was from "tha hooood," and had friends who were drug dealers and car thieves growing up but left that for a job with the police department. Bottom line don't apply to work with these jackasses they (especially that detective), get off on power trips and making people feel like worthless pieces of shit. You will get disqualified for the smallest little detail and they will degrade you and make you feel like you are garbage and then leave you out to dry after a long process.

That's any police department if you're a turd. (except the Metropolitan Police Department. You may want to give them a call)

I think its funny that the prince William county police are so strict.. Have you ever seen any of their cops, they look like they fell out of a hay bale.

Which I think is bs. There is no reason they need to ask you how many times you beat off on a daily basis. That's humiliating! I never failed my polygraph but honestly there are cops who've done sick shit and pass that polygraph because they are good liars. With all of the crooked cops I don't see how any of these methods are effective. Other than embarrassing the shit out of the applicants and getting off on what the females reveal about their sex lives.

I think its all a bit ridiculous. Does the pwc police department really have to be a paramilitaryesque organization? Its prince William county for god sakes. Woodbridge, manassas, dale city!

Thats where I think youre over blowing what they do. Ive taken them before and know people that have taken that specific one and never herd of anyone being asked how much they masturbate. If they did you must have either said something that caused them to explore that further or your poly guy just didnt like you and was going to ask a bunch of stuff he knows will keep you from getting hired. Either way asking about masturbation is not standard practice unless they changed their question set recently.

just if you belong to any terrorist organizations or want to overthrow the government but that is actually standard procedure for most places. You would be surprised what some people reveal when this question comes up. I am actually glad I didn't make it into prince william some of those places are shit holes. Also the detectives and the instructors were complete douche bag military rejects. They pretend to act all hardcore and bad boned. The detectives are the biggest assholes though the one I had said he used to hang around car thieves and drug dealers when he grew up "in tha hoooood," but left all of that to pursue a career in law enforcement. Fucking lousy hood rat should have stayed where he belonged.

As soon as they run out of viable candidates, they'll lower their standards. Those standards are very subjective. They will be careful enough to not break any laws by discriminating against a protected class. If they want to hire only right-handed people and people that brainlessly follow their bullshit - they can.

As far as polygraphs go - it is "security theater". The true sociopaths pass easily. Those with enough of a conscience to be rattled by the mere posing of these questions get tripped up.

It is their loss. If they want to be arbitrary and stupid, they'll hire shitheads that will further establish the standard of only employing shitheads.

I actually prefer hiring a serial masturbator as a cop. Those that don't get the relief end up shooting people over jaywalking offenses.

Nowadays the departments want pussies with attitudes to be officers. Back in the day a cop could chew out someone for something, explain to the person why it is a detriment/illegal and in hand cuffs, and be done with it with the arrested person understanding. Now people's feelings need to be coddled and not hurt. There are too many pussy ass liberal carpet bagging Yankees down here that have ruined the area. The next time you run into an Arlington, Fairfax, Alexandria, PW, or Loudon cop ask them where they are from. 9/10 times you will get an answer of NY, NJ, PA, or some other Damn Yankee state.
