Actually, with Obama's announcement that the troops would be out of Iraq by New Year's, he then went on to indicate that this activity was "just as promised." He needed to find a way to take the credit and spin it for himself in some way.
This activity of pulling the troops from Iraq has to appear as success for him, considering, he's failed to:
- Keep the unemployment below 8% as he promised during his election.
- Create jobs for this country.
- Keep our economy clear of a double-dip recession. (Yes, I know recessions are cyclical and little can be done to avoid them. However, a double-dip one ... especially this one is being caused by the President and his cabinet.)
- Close down Gitmo in Cuba.
- Also, the Iraq news and Libya news is a great cover up for "Fast and Furious" as well as the lending scandal for Solyndra.
