GOP Debate Three Ring Circus- Bachmann... funny!

I got a lot of laughs out of the GOP debate last night. Bachmann was like Sarah Palin from Saturday Night live with her cutting in every five seconds to say "Barak Obama [fill in useless comment here]."

Herman Cain looked good but didn't really stand out. The biggest loser were Rick Perry and Mitt Romney with there attacks on each other, petty bickering, and ponting out each others social programs. Perry certainly drove home "RomneyCare."

I liked Newt and Ron Paul, they seemed like the big winners.

It looks like Herman Cain had his ass handed to him by the field. Not sure how that equates to "looked good but really didn't stand out."

The Imploding Party in action.

I wonder who is going to be the next candidate to show up?

It is pretty sad that an imploding party is within easy striking distance of the incumbent. How bad does a sitting President have to be that an imploding party has a chance to beat him?

CNN did their job in making the candidates look worse. But as to why I would be pissed about his plan being attacked - why? I don't think he was hurt so much in those attacks at all - it just brings issue to light, and as I have mentioned before, if Congress were to even take up a plan like that, there is little doubt in my mind it would bear any resemblance to the basic proposal - good or bad. The difference is, he is proposing ideas in ways that are making people listen, and they aren't so bad. As usual, the critics hold the day and somehow they feel that because they can tear something down, it means the fact that they don't have an answer either makes it all better.

If they hadn't had the infighting last night, the news would have been saying they were boring, or some other downplay, so it is what it is. I doubt you will see any serious change in the numbers in polling after this.

It's quite the field when Gingrich sounds like the voice of sanity.

Starting all these debates so early in the cycle is a mistake in my opinion. But if they must why not avoid all the sponsors who you know will be asking loaded questions with false premises. Otherwise don't be surprised when you are barraged with "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" questions."

You also know that you'll be set up by moderators like A Cooper to attack each others policies only to have him remind you of it if you win the primary or endorse the winner. I can hear it now. Cooper to Bachmann: "But in the Vegas debate you were against 999. How can you support Cain now?" And he'll be right. Same thing with Romney and Perry.

It would have been awesome to see them all agree beforehand to adhere to Reagan's 11th commandment. "Thou shall not attack a fellow Republican." They could have agreed that all of them corporately have good ideas and will work to illuminate them as opposed to falling for the presses juvenile attempts to start fights.

They should have praised Cain and his effort to at least have the balls to present a fair tax plan in one form or another. Romney could have said that Cain had some good points in his plan that very well could be incorporated into a new totally revamped tax code making it a whole hell of a lot more simple than the existing one. I mean Jesus God people the 2010 the U.S. tax code was 71,684 pages in length and it grows every God damn year.

Tell me again how fucking ridiculous Herman Cain is.

Anderson Cooper was beaming over the results of his questioning last night and I don't blame him. He is a liberal after all. When your enemies are in the midst of destroying each other you should keep your mouth shut. And that's what he did.

Ron Paul's suit was at least two sizes too big. He looked like a bum, but at least he didn't have dried egg on his lapel.

The fact that our tax code is fucked up and needs reforming doesn't mean Cain's idiotic plan is somehow less idiotic.

I'm sure Romney's numbers will remain about the same.

I guess Cain is in a quandary over his Gitmo prisoner trade comment but it's silly and of no consequence to most voters.

Not sure if there will be another candidate as the window for getting on state ballots is closing fast.

However if one does emerge soon my advice to them would be to announce that attending any debates before January is fruitless as they have proven to be a waste of time. And when the time arrives I would tell moderators trying to perpetrate an attack on another candidate that it's not going to fly here. "I will tell you about my policy beliefs but refuse to attack someone for theirs" should be the response.

Otherwise people like Cooper will continue to beam like a cheerleader starting a bitch fight between her friends over the quarterback in high school.

I think the (disorganized) Imploding Party Big Wigs are getting that idea - Politics of Hate won't work WITHIN a Party as well as without.

Say what YOU'RE going to do or don't say anything.

+1
Plus hearing Republicans boo at each other every five minutes. Priceless! I was waiting for some crazy GOP audience person to stand up and start yelling Obama birth certificate claims.

Just goes to show how much in shambles the republican party is these days. I was surprised no candidate stuck to "God fearing, patriotism and Barak Obama is Muslim." Republican campaign strategists are crazy for forgetting all the nutjob GOP religious votes.

I don't know. 71,684 pages - 9 9 9 = 70,685

I wouldn't be surprised if Gingrich is leading GOP candidate for the month of December.

I need to get some republican candidate dice.

According to one pundit, 4 candidates claimed they LITERALLY had been called by God to run.

As he noted, God must be covering his bets...

Yeah, that is SO over the top...

http://www.salon.com/2008/01/21/obama_31/singleton/
...The center page of the brochure proclaims — in the largest letters on the page — that Obama is a “COMMITTED CHRISTIAN,” and includes three pictures of Obama, all of which show him praying or preaching in a Church, and also includes a fourth picture: of the interior of a Church with a large cross lurking in the background. The page also says that Obama is “guided by his Christian faith” and quotes Obama saying: “We do what we do because God is with us.”

That same page prints Obama’s views “on the power of prayer,” and — using the same language George Bush has frequently used as a signifier to evangelical voters — says that Obama is “Called to Christ,” “Called to Bring Change” and “Called to Serve”...

Granted, there are 4 of them - but God also loves a good fight from time to time to see who is worthy of his backing, just look at the Jews.
