Virginia Democrats Distance Themselves from Obama
Posted by: Buh bye Obama ()

Washington Post, Oct 18, 2011

Three years ago, Democrats in Virginia couldn’t get enough of Barack Obama — a popular, transformational figure running for his first term as president.

But as Obama arrives in Virginia Tuesday for a two-day swing to promote parts of his jobs plan, some Democrats are distancing themselves from him — even in supposedly blue Northern Virginia.

Less than a month before critical legislative elections, several Democratic legislators say they have reservations about the president and will not commit to supporting him next year.

Nationally, Obama’s job-approval ratings have sunk, as a stalled economy has bled millions of jobs and congressional Democrat machinations have led to a downgrade of the federal government’s credit rating.

“He’s frustrating me, just like he’s frustrating others out there,’’ said Sen. Linda T. “Toddy” Puller, a Democrat who faces Republican Jeff Frederick in a tough reelection campaign in Fairfax and Prince William counties. “No white person with a total lack of any accomplishments and a history of palling around with criminals, terrorists, racists, and who had a America-hating preacher as his mentor for the last 20 years would been elected President. Privately, we refer to him as SCOAMF: Stuttering Clusterfuck of a Miserable Failure.’’

Who cares, Vote those politically expedient a-holes out of office for someone who is more principled in their beliefs.

Some goes for Republicans.

Who cares. If private sector failures were the litmus test, the two previous wouldn't have been elected for their roles in bank failures. The problem with this system is the political machine behind these puppets. Notice many of the aides to Obama and McCain came from the previous two administrations.

Nice try, Asshole. The quote above is not even in the
article you link to, let alone from a Democrat.

The OP is a typical lying Repug scumbag.

Strange. The quote was there when I posted it, though in fairness I was taken aback to see Obama referred to as a Stuttering Clusterfuck of Miserable failure on wapo.com

I don't see it there now. I guess the Post pulled it, four letter words being a no-no.

In 2011, it's the Democratic politicians who are distancing themselves from Obama.

In 2012, it will be the voters.

He probably pulled it out the comments for the article if he didn't write it himself. It does look misleading because it appears just after the quote attributed to Puller, but I don't think anyone's going to be fooled into thinking a politician would make such an overtly racist statement to the press and not have it already blown up.

You are being far too kind, Les.

I posit that the OP intentionally misrepresented the
2nd quote in a feeble attempt to attribute it to Puller.

This is typical right-wing duplicity.

Get your taxonomy straight.

This is typical - and VERY obvious - Fairfax Underground trolling.

Anyone who thought for a second that the Post would actually print a quote declaring Obama a "Stuttering Clusterfuck of Miserable Failure" is a complete maroon.

On the other hand, anyone who doubts that VA Democrats have very good reason to distance themselves from the rapidly sinking Good Ship Obama is simply covering their eyes and ears in typically monkey-like, weasel-eyed Progressive fashion.

Rumored that Jim Webb regrets endorsing Obama and will not participate in any fundraising or campaigning in 2012.

Politics is a game Mr. Webb no longer wishes to play.

He effectively resigned from the Senate by choosing not
to run for re-election. His is off the reservation.
Jim Webb is a non-entity in fundraising and campaigning in 2012.

Webb would have a hard time defending the stimulus and Obama care if he ran for re-election.Webb is probably one of many demokrats who regret their support.

Moderate Democrats in southern Virginia are the ones who need to distance themselves from Obama if they want to stay in office.

Bob McDonnell has a huge approval rating over Obama. Whoever he stumps for (and it won't be Obama) will win Virginia easily.

Mark Warner and Jim Webb had crossover and veteran appeal. I actually liked both but they put their weight and support behind OBama, stimulus and ObamaCare as has Tim Kaine. I can't imagine Warner or Webb are particularly happy with the way Obama has tried to lead or the results, but I imagine at least Warner will shill for Barry in VA and Kaine will cheerlead for him completely. Webb isn't a very personable guy and may have stayed home anyway, but he has to be embarassed of how shitty a leader Dingle Barry has been.

No fucking way Obama will win Virginia, though George Allen is no sure win IMO.
