GOP prez candidate Rick Perry recently mentioned a "black cloud" that hangs over America when talking about the debt..
MSNBC propagandist Ed Schultz seized on the words and had the video tape edited- leaving off the mention of debt in the reference, then used it to smear Perry as making a racist statement, ie the "black" cloud is Obama.
"On Monday's “The Ed Show,” Schultz played the first portion of Perry’s remarks about the debt but cut after “that big black cloud that hangs over America.” He then concluded “that big black cloud Perry is talking about is President Barack Obama.” Earlier in the segment, Schultz said, “Perry comes from the radical country club that loves to remind white America that President Obama is other: not like you.”
I expect race bating and ambulance chasing from Reverends Jackson and Sharpton, but it is pretty fucking sad to see a white liberal follow such an evil and disingenous strategy.
Fat fucker should be fired.

It has become readily apparent that the left is scared shitless about their 2012 prospects. A quick perusal of this message board shows every smear and innuendo pertaining to the GOP prospects. They know that Obama cannot run on a single accomplishment, so they are left tearing down the rest of the field. Yeah, that's change.

I just viewed this on Don Imus' show FOX BUSINESS. A couple of points here.
Schultz ran with this all day yesterday every chance he got to be on camera. Then only after purposely playing race all day did he apologize last night I guess.
The good thing about it is absolutely no one watches his show.Except for the camera man I guess.

I am amazed that this clown is beating Anderson Cooper. Say what you want about AC being gay or wht not, but he usually has a fairly intelligent show and asks good questions. None of the blatantly partisan topics or guests like FOX or MSNBC.

I like Coop too even though I rarely watch. My late father loved him and was shocked to find out he was gay. Kind of Rock Hudsoned him a bit.

By this logic the GOP has been terrified of Obama winning again since January 20, 2009 (at least).

I put people who play tricks like this in the same catergory as the Klan, maybe worse. While a lot of racism is based on fear and ignorance, this kind of racism and racebaiting is based on willfull deceipt and a knowing distortion and smear. Ed Schultz knows better, but still insists on pushing a damaging lie.
Completely fucking inexciusable.
Reminds me of a similiarly incindiary notion that was pushed by MSNBC recently- the "racist" Tea Partyers with guns at a public event. They conveiniently edited out the fact the rifle toter was a black man. So much for facts getting on the way of a good story.

No doubt WingNut we will soon be hearing you opposing these same sorts of stunts from right wingers such as Hannety and Beck. I don't approve of this stuff, but it seems to be the normal fodder provided by these types on both sides of the political debate.

Not a big Hannity,Beck or O'Reilly fan or watcher, though they do have a few basic issues very correct.
Haven't seen anything as egregious an abuse of the truth as this with the righties, I won't put it past them, but a knowingly false racism rumor is kind of on the level of a false rape or child molestation charge.
