Skip the Tower of London, go to a rioted area, Be sure to get off the beaten track, London is a very complicated and exciting place- !

Skip Versailles, go to Rue Rambuteau area of Paris- Market district. Go to Musee d'Orsay in addition to Notre Dame, its right across the river.

If you want to do England, do Scotland. Germany is a long, long ways away.
A great day long alternate is Belgium, Antwerp or Brussels.

Try not to rush it too much and have a great trip!!!

Dude you're gonna love Heidelberg, I lived there for two years. Frankfurt, ehh, the Sachsenhausen district of Frankfurt AM is pretty cool, they have a lot of cool bars on the Main but honestly it's pretty dirty. To give you an idea while attending university I did undercover work exposing the women trafficking epidemic in Germany and Europe.

Are you including Germany or going to Edinburgh instead? Germany is a wonderful country full of scenery and different landscapes. Berlin is a wonderful city to have fun. You can live there for your whole life and never see the whole city. I lived in Heidelberg for 2 incredible years. Excellent place to live! The rest of your itinerary looks well planned too. Paris is what you make of it. I liked the Latin Quarter very much. Small bistros and bars with Parisian architecture. Le Mont St. Michelle we visited for a night. In the Summer you can walk on the sand around the area and inside of the castle is a community. Bayeux and Normandy were amazing. It was warm so I swam in the English Channel on Omaha Beach. You can sort of imagine what the troops were thinking about before the reached the beach. Water was freezing and the cliff side looked very high. The cemetery is pretty big and looks similar to Arlington National Cemetery. You really get an idea of how huge that battle was by the size of the cemetery. I wish you a excellent trip with lots of memories and a safe flight! Don't let the Euro hit you too hard.

I cancelled all your tickets and reservations.

But if you just lay in bed, close your eyes and imagine going there, I'm sure you'll have a WONDERFUL time.

Paris - make sure you visit the Latin Quarter, especially at night - its right next to Notre Dame. Also, visit the Sainte-Chapelle - incredible stained glass - also near Notre Dame. I studied Gothic architecture one summer at the Sorbonne, and we were allowed to walk on the roof of Notre Dame and in front of the rose windows; unforgettable experience.

Try to catch a "Son et Lumiere" (sound and light) at one of the chateaux in the Loire in the evening.

Don't even think of missing Versailles and its related structures (by the way, it's on the outskirts of Paris).

You probably need to make the obligatory visit to the Louvre (which is overwhelming), but there are many smaller, more interesting museums all over Paris. Also, many stunning parks.

Hope you have fun!
