try this little experiment. log how many viewers the DVG actually have when Meade is not part of the line up. then do the same when Meade is a feature. About 10 to 1 in favor of Meade. i wouldn't be surprised if the DVG pays Meade a couple hundred for an appearance. out of his own pocket. and this is repeatable. Willard Scott's face was visible when he wore his Ronald costume, Meade's face has been covered in all the costumes he has worn.

Also, Willard Scott was fired from Mcdonald's for being too fat. Meade is fatter now than Willard was then.

The OP was right. Meade really is bad for business.

When Meade is in his cow costume, people can't see his face. This is an advantage with the amount of facial fat he is carrying around these days.

Chick fil a cows are forbidden to speak. This means Meade cannot sing. Even better, Meade can't inflict his yodeling.

When Meade is dressed as a cow, it is a win/win for everyone.
